Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for M.Sc. programs at Banasthali Vidyapith?

    A:
    {Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for M.Sc. Programs at Banasthali Vidyapith

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've found:

    * Limited Placements: Unfortunately, none of the students from this batch got placed, and hardly 10% of students get placed. This indicates that the placement cell may not be effective in securing jobs for M.Sc. programme graduates.
    * Low Salary Packages: When companies did visit the campus, the salary packages offered were reportedly below average, which may not be attractive to students.
    * Lack of Knowledge About Placement Opportunities: Many students mentioned that they didn't have enough knowledge about the placement opportunities available, which could hinder their chances of getting hired.
    * No Regular Placement Cell Activity: Reviewers mentioned that there isn't a dedicated placement cell or regular activity to facilitate placements, which might contribute to the low placement rate.

In summary, while the campus has good infrastructure and faculty, the placement cell appears to be ineffective in securing jobs for M.Sc. programme graduates, with limited placements and low salary packages offered.

    Really good placements here.
Placements: The software engineer role is the most common role for students by recruitment companies. Some roles are of an intern + associate job, so after it you can join the company as well with a decent package of around 4 LPA based on our skill set.
Infrastructure: The hostels at Banasthali are perfect, and the wardens are like parents to us. The food provided by the hostels is amazing. They even provided seasonal fruits every day, which helps keep us healthy. Even breakfast is amazing. The food quality is just superb.
Faculty: Banasthali has the best faculty. The teachers are amazing, very supportive, and understanding in all aspects. They help you prepare for exams and assignments, and they are very educated and supportive.

It has lot of extra curricular activities but no outside exposure.
Placements: The placement in department of Physics are negligible. Most of the students go for higher studies, such as Ph.D. No company came for the placement of Physics students. Our seniors were also not placed anywhere. There is no culture of internship and placements in the department.
Infrastructure: Banasthali is situated in Jaipur and the summer is dreadful, yet there is no facility for AC in classrooms. No Wi-Fi is provided in departments. Wi-Fi is provided for a limited time in hostels and is only available on laptops. The mess food is not good. Dinner has the worst quality. There is no canteen inside the hostel.
Faculty: The curriculum is designed well. There are some faculty members who are experts in their field and deliver the best material to students. Some faculty members are very bad. The course content is relevant but it doesn't make us industry-ready. The exams are not very difficult. Teachers usually ask about the material taught in the class.
Other: Banasthali is a women's university and students are not allowed to go outside without their parents' permission. One needs a gate pass to step out of the hostel. One cannot go outside the hostel after 8:00 p.m.

It is a wonderful time and experience for me, and the faculty and college are good.
Placements: The placements are not offered by the university in this particular course, but you might end up with multiple open doors with your knowledge and skills. Mentoring roles are also playing a very important role, and it helps students reach their goals.
Infrastructure: The departments and facilities are amazing. There are wonderful opportunities to explore as I know people. Banasthali is old-fashioned, but when you explore the whole journey, everything seems perfect and fit. It becomes a beautiful part of your life.
Faculty: The curriculum covers everything. The faculty are well-trained. They help every student to understand the topic very well. The faculty are very down-to-earth, and they understand every student.
Other: It's a wonderful university, and you can explore many activities here.

I am satisfied with all facilities, teachers, fests are also well, and the campus is very good.
Placements: Some of the students were placed. Almost all courses from UG to Ph.D. were provided in our college. The khadi-based uniform was there. Students learn to live in a disciplined way.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was very good on campus and the hostel was also good. Our department was very furnished and greenery was there. The library for every department was there. Wi-Fi was provided to all students. The hostel was very good. Clean and food were also provided. The sports facility was famous for our college. Medical facilities and many canteens were available.
Faculty: Teachers were very qualified. All were very calm and good at teaching. The semester exam was quite difficult. The pass percentage was 36%. This course M.Sc and physics were relevant for research. In research, this was good for the future. Physic was a very good subject, and teachers were also good.
Other: I opted for this course, because of my interest in physics and want to pursue higher studies. Many fests were conducted there for students that can inspire everyone.

Our college has a really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: I am a final year student of M.Sc in applied microbiology and biotechnology at Banasthali Vidyapith. The average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month in the private sector. Not many companies visit here for campus placements. However, if you have good academic records and have at least qualified in NET or GATE exam, then you will have many opportunities in the future.
Infrastructure: Classrooms here are new and equipped with smart class facilities. Every department has its own library and computer labs with Wi-Fi facility. Besides that, there is a central library where you can have access to all books and also PCs. Our university provides free training for more than 20 sports. To provide five-fold education is a key feature of our college where along with the classroom study, you can learn other things like sports, dance and foreign language. Hostels are also very nice and are being renovated on a regular basis. Labs are well equipped with all instruments.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified, and their teaching quality is the best. The course curriculum is relevant. Seminars are also conducted on a regular interval where you get to know about the successful companies and persons of your concerned course and also many famous personalities.
Other: I wish that the campus selection should be improved in our course.

It is a good college for girls, and security is also good.
Placements: There are fewer placements in the science field, and very fewer students got placed. Our college tries to give the best internships for students so that students can learn how to develop themselves in every outer field and can face new challenges.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Students can go to the library till 8 pm, and students can also learn curricular activities like yoga, swimming, horse riding, etc., and extra subjects like French, grammar, Sanskrit, etc. Quality of the mess is quite good, but medical facilities need to be improved.
Faculty: Teachers here are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers try to help every student. Students can contact teachers in every working hours, and teachers are ready to help students in every subject. They also motivate students to do something innovative.
