As a shining example of excellence in the B.Tech field, University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) draws ambitious engineers from all across India. Entering this esteemed college will require you to succeed in the world of entrance tests. Below is a summary of your choices:Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET):The Gateway for Karnataka Residents: The main path to UVCE for Karnataka residents is through KCET. Your score on this state-level test establishes your rank, which in turn defines the B.Tech specializations you can pursue. Cutoff Dance: Recall that getting a good rank is crucial. The cutoffs for the 2023 KCET admission ranged from 399 to 54199, although they change every year depending on the exam's difficulty, the number of available seats, and the candidate pool. Expect a more competitive market with cutoffs closer to the lower end for highly sought-after areas like computer science. Beyond Scores: Remember that there are other factors that determine admission besides your KCET rank. Your class 12 grades and any relevant reservation categories will also be taken into consideration.2. JEE Main: A Secondary Path: Although KCET is the most important exam, JEE Main grades are also taken into account by UVCE via the Centralized Seat Allocation Process (CSAP). For people who don't live in Karnataka or who want a different test, this offers a another option. Restricted Opportunities: Nevertheless, be informed that UVCE uses CSAP to assign a restricted number of seats. Because of this, getting in through JEE Main is extremely tough and frequently requires great results.

PUB has a higher placement percentage when compared to SET. It may be due to the fact that PUB offers a wider range of programs other than engineering when compared to SET. the average salary range is also higher at PUB and is in the range of 5 to 10 Lakhs per annum while SET's anerage salary range is close to 4 LPA. If you are interested in engineering streams, SET might be better suited for you as it offers diverse options of engineering branches which may appeal to your interests. In short your question has a very complex answer actually and therefore you need to be more specific like your interest in the program, future plans etc.

Assuming, you are talking about B.Tech in Public colleges, Presidency is more expensive and has a fee struture in the range of INR 2LPA - INR 4 LPA while in general, SETs are more likely to be in the range of INR 30,000 - INR 1 Lakhs per annum. This does not answer the question asked as there is a huge assumption that you are talking about BTech in public colleges. The answer varies significantly based on multiple factors like the stream chosen, hostel and other facilities, categories, the specific institutions selected, and even gender. Therefore, a more specific question is to be asked including the above mentioned details.
