Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV) has ideal and devoted faculty. Professors in each stream are well-known scientists, and they create a healthy academic environment. The teaching also includes the theoretical and practical aspects with a good amount of lab work done by experienced lab technicians. It facilitates students in producing real-world applications along with classroom teaching.Students always appreciate in-depth knowledge from faculty members that really boost their understanding of agriculture and related disciplines. The faculty is easier to approach and helpful both in terms of academics as well as practical problems.

Food quality in the hostel mess is satisfactory. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are mixed, and regional cuisine is provided. Four times meals are distributed in a month, with a varied menu that includes 10-15 breakfast items, and 20-25 items for lunch and dinner. Hygiene and cleanliness are upheld and maintained regularly. The mess charges range from 2,500 to 3,000 INR. Students give food quality 3.5/5. Special dietary arrangements are made available considering medical conditions. The mechanism to provide a vent through student feedback includes regular surveys and mess committee meetings to address such concerns.
