Q:   Is JEE Main enough for BITS Pilani BTech admission?

A:

No, BITS Pilani doesn't accept JEE Main scores for admission to the BE course. Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani BE admission is based on valid BITSAT scores. Apart from the BITSAT scores, students are also required to fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements.

Further, the overall average package offered was INR 30.37 LPA, during BITS Pilani placements 2023.

Q:   Does BITS Pilani offer BTech?

A:

Q:   Can I get admission to BTech CSE at BITS Pilani with a 78k OBC rank in JEE Mains?

A:
Hello Priyanshu, unlike the government institutes like NIT IIT or equivalent such colleges BITS Pilani does not offer any reservation based on any category like SC or St or OBC. Of course, they do offer seeds without any entrance examination for those students who appear in the list of merit candidates of the 12th examination conducted by different boards across India. To help you I am attaching a link which will take you to the college predictor for JEE Mains examination design by Shiksha taking into account the results of the previous many years. It will be quite useful to you in selecting the college where you can take admission. https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/jee-main-college-predictor Best wishes to you.

I'm satisfied with this college but the fee is high.
Placements: Around 95.24% of students got placed in 2022. The highest salary package offered is 45.03 LPA, the lowest salary package is 8.8 LPA, and the average salary package is 22.87 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Flipkart, Amazon, Signal chip, Samsung, Micron, HSBC, Reliance Jio, and many more. Placements are offered in the IT, core, and non-core sectors. Our college provides 2 internships in 4 years.
Infrastructure: Girls hostel block-9 is not well-maintained but few boys hostels are great. Classrooms, infrastructure, and library are very well maintained. The quantity of food is good but it is oily. Sports facilities are good. Our college has a night canteen along with many eateries. Our college consists of a beautiful museum, library, and temple.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very flexible and great for the development of students. Semester exams are good and test the students' understanding skills. Internships prepare students to work in the industry.
Other: Our college organises 3 major fests such as Oasis, Bosom, and Apogee. Oasis is an annual cultural fest which is the 2nd largest fest in India. Bosom is a sports fest where students from various colleges participate in it. Apogee is a tech fest showcasing new projects and ideas.

It provides good infrastructure, facilities, and placements.
Placements: The course has 100% of placements while the whole batch has over 85%. The average salary package offered is 17 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 13 LPA. All the big product-based, Finance & Tech Companies and start-ups recruit from here where a majority of them offer software development engineer roles. More than 30% of students get a summer internship from the on-campus drive.
Infrastructure: This college has world-class academic infrastructural facilities with good classrooms and a world-class library. The laboratories are well-equipped with all the modern, important, and expensive machinery. The hostels on the other hand are not of very good quality and could be more hygienic.
Faculty: The teaching quality is mostly good as the teachers are well qualified from big universities i.e mostly from overseas. The course curriculum is not very relevant for the industry but there is a practice school program aimed specifically for that purpose. Semester exams at least for this course are on the tougher side so the exam averages are very low. The pass percentage is between 10-20%.

BITS is one of the best tier-1 colleges in India with high placement records.
Placements: Placements in our college are excellent. They provide a wide range of experience to all of the students by providing internship facilities. Therefore before sitting for placements, students are experienced in their domains. The competition is so high here which helps us to grow more. The placement package is average as compareed to other colleges.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities in BITS are of world-class level. It is one of the beautiful colleges in India. It has a large campus area and all the facilities like a library, sports grounds, Wi-Fi, and air-conditioned classrooms. The quality of food served is decent.
Faculty: Teachers are well experienced and have a lot of knowledge to deliver to students. Teaching quality is best here. The course curriculum is as per our branch requirements. BITS has a CGPA policy where the average system works. Everything on the campus is good.
Other: BITS is one of the best tier-1 colleges in India with high placement records. Everyone wishes to study here. Many events are held around the year. Students get scholarships according to their merit and family income. Campus life is good in BITS.

It is the best campus in India.
Placements: The average package offered is around 20 LPA, the highest package is around 50 LPA, and the lowest package is around 5-8 LPA. Top companies include Bajaj, Birla, Amazon etc. BITS Pilani also has international recognition and provides proper help for higher education too.
Infrastructure: I have never been to the college because of the pandemic. However, judging from the reviews and images, I am pretty sure that it has the best campus across the country and provides all sorts of facilities and top-quality food. The hostel rooms aren't a letdown and are comfortable.
Faculty: Being a first-year student, I got exposure to basic subjects only. However, the institute provides great internship opportunities from the third year itself. The teachers are of top quality, barring a few. Faculty members help you clear your doubts and are ever ready to help.
Other: The electrical and instrumentation course exposes you to CS, EEE and mechanical engineering subjects. It gives you all-round exposure and has a very high scope in the future. Events here are fun, and the crowd is of cream quality.

Alumni network is very good, and there is no reservation.
Placements: Almost all the students were placed. Most of the students were placed in the IT sector, and few got placed in finance and core electronics. The placement unit did not declare the highest salary package of all the branches this time. The highest salary package offered in our branch was around 38 LPA, and the average salary package offered was around 12-13 LPA. Very few students from our branch got an internship as the companies which visited our college mainly selected computer science students.
Infrastructure: The electrical and electronics branch of our college is one of the best in the country, mainly because of the CEERI lab. It is quite hectic as compared to other branches as we have regular evaluation components every week. Labs are well-equipped. Wi-Fi is available at classrooms and hostels. Lectures are also recorded in some of the classrooms which we can see later. Quality of food in the messes is also good as compared to the actual norms we have regarding hostel foods. The menu comprises of all the dishes from all parts of the country. We have a medical centre on our campus which is free for us. Sports facilities are also quite good as we have grounds and courts for almost every sport, including squash, etc.
Faculty: Lecturers are helpful and very knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also very good. I don't like the course curriculum much as I don't have much interest in the electrical courses. If someone develops interest, then BITS is an excellent college to be at.
Other: I have chosen this course after consulting a lot of our seniors. I wish that apart from the general course curriculum, we should also be taught other things that will help us to solve real-world problems, which would generate the interest of every student. The campus life is quite amazing as we can interact with different people coming from different parts of the country and learn from them. We organise Oasis, which is our cultural fest, and it is completely organised by the students. It is one of the best fests in the country. There are clubs and departments for everything in which a student can join and follow extracurricular activities.
