Currently BITS does not offer automobile engineering degree courses. You can do mechanical engineering at BITS and do a specialization in automobile engineering in M.Tech or MS.

1.The syllabus for BITS is same as IIT JEE but there is logical reasoning and general English added in BITS. BITSAT comprises of 150 questions and exam is of 3 hours.
Math-45 phy-40 che-40 English-15 logical-10 makes a total of 150 questions. You will get 3 marks for every correct answer and 1 negative mark for every wrong answer.
2. BITSAT is totally different from IIT JEE in terms of difficulty level. You can easily succeed in BITSAT if you are perfect with your basics. By perfect, I mean that perfect like if anyone wakes you up in the middle of your sleep and asks you anything you must be in a situation to answer those questions. Whereas in IIT JEE, you must go into depth of a particular topic. That's not the scene in BITSAT. If you are perfect in basics and expert in problems then no one can stop you from clearing BITSAT.
3.Don't be in a hurry to answer all the questions. Keep in mind that there is -1 negative marking for every wrong answer.
4.As I said above if you are perfect in basics and problems then you will try to answer all the questions but if you do so then you will get bonus questions which carries 4 marks each and 1 mark negative for wrong answer.
5.But don't try to answer all questions because there is a negative marking. Answer all questions only if you are confident about them and then go for bonus questions.
All the best!
Hope my answer will satisfy you and will prove to be helpful for you.
All the best.
