The University is yet to release the 2024 placement data. Earlier, out of all the UG courses, the highest number of students were placed in BTech. According to external sources, a large share of the University of Calcutta alumni is placed in the Business Development sector with a 30% share. The specific placement report for LLM is not released officially. However, the NIRF report 2023 includes the overall placement data for PG (2-year) courses. Graduates in any stream from a recognised university are eligible for Calcutta University admission. Aspirants can apply by filling out the application form online by visiting the CU website (caluniv.ac.in). Admission to MBA courses is through national-level entrance exams such as CAT/ MAT/ JEMAT, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
