Review of Central University of Karnataka.
Placements: Placements are not available in our college.
Infrastructure: Our college provides 24X7 Wi-Fi. The quality of the food is good. There are no restrictions in the hostel. The hostel will be closed at 9:30 pm.
Faculty: Some professors are good.
Other: After completing BBA, we can do MBA, ACCA, CFO, etc. Our college conducts a sports event named Ankur every month. Every department conducts fests very well.

Ups and downs of our campus, but I still hope it will improve.
Placements: There is no placement, so there is no expectation of a package. No companies have come to visit or recruit us. We have to find internships and jobs ourselves. Sometimes teachers praise departments for doing innovative things, but later there is no initiative taken by teachers or students.
Infrastructure: The facilities we expected were totally different from the facilities we are getting now because, as a hostel, the food is sometimes good but most of the time not healthy because I feel it has more masala and soda in it. The classrooms and Wi-Fi facilities are good, as is the library. The thing is that maintenance should be done properly.
Faculty: Teaching quality depends on the teacher. Some are good, and some are not. I do not think the curriculum can take me to any company or industry, as we are not too involved in practical activities. The exams are taken normally; the thing is, attendance should be 75 percent to attend them.
Other: Fest activities are done here.

These are my views about my college.
Placements: There are literally no placements in this university. At the time of admission, they may promise placements in the prospectus, but that's not the fact; it's just for student attraction. There are also no internship opportunities available in this university. If a student is willing to pursue an internship, they need to find the opportunity on their own; the university doesn't even assist in finding internship opportunities. They simply say, "Go and find it yourself."
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, this university is very good, with 650 acres of land. Classrooms are well-equipped with facilities such as Wi-Fi, AC, smartboards, and separate chairs for every student. There are separate departments for each field of study. Departments requiring practical sessions are well-equipped with laboratories, etc. The university has two ample-sized auditoriums for handling extracurricular activities.
Faculty: The faculty members here are okay. They are neither very good nor very bad, but since it's a government college, things are a bit complicated everywhere. Faculty members make students run for everything they approach them for, and so on. BBA is very relevant in today's competitive world, and here at the Central University of Karnataka, the subjects taught during the course are enough to make a student industry-ready. The semester exams here are moderate; they are neither too easy nor too hard but average.
Other: Events, fests, and extracurricular activities are regular exercises at this university. Various activities happen at regular intervals in one or another department of the university.

The truth about the Central University of Karnataka.
Placements: Placement was really good in the year 2022 at the Central University of Karnataka. In MBA this year, 80% of students were placed in our course. Almost all the placements in the entire university were from our MBA department. All manager roles are offered.
Infrastructure: All the facilities, such as purified water, Wi-Fi, library facilities, and everything else, are provided at the University. In the hostel mess, food is also good, but not that nice; it is digestible. Mess food is sometimes not good. At that time, we can complain, and they will act upon it.
Faculty: All the faculty are very hardworking; they put all their efforts into teaching us. Examinations are also conducted very well. Teachers are well educated, and they regularly take classes. Sometimes, whenever they are busy, they assign us some tasks to do.

Our college is worth the money paid.
Placements: Our college provides only a few placement opportunities for BBA. There is a good chance of placements after an MBA. Many companies visit our college each year. Only a very few students got placed in our college. The salary packages are not good. Roles are based on our core subjects like marketing, HR, and finance.
Infrastructure: All facilities are good. There is an adequate area for each department. There are around 28 departments in our college. The campus is spread over 650 acres of land. Wi-Fi is available in hostels and academic blocks. Classrooms are digitalised. The mess does not provide good food. It is adjustable.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Most of them are Ph.D. holders. We have four permanent teachers who are well-experienced. We have assistant professors. They are the best.
Other: We can join this college by writing the CUET exam. I chose BBA because I liked business subjects. Many fests and events are held in our college throughout the year. There are around 8,000 students in our college. I am satisfied with this college.

Q:   Is BBA at CUK worth the investment?

A:
{Source: BBA students & alumni}

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with modern amenities, including Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms and libraries.

Faculty: Okay faculty, with some being more experienced and knowledgeable than others.

Curriculum: Relevant curriculum that covers essential topics, making students industry-ready.

Extracurricular Activities: Regular events, fests, and sports activities.

Placements: Unfortunately, there are no placements guaranteed, and students must find internships and jobs themselves.

Internship Opportunities: None provided by the university, leaving students to seek out their own opportunities.

Food: Mess food is decent, but not consistently good.

Campus Life: Good campus life with a mix of relaxation and academic engagement.

Value for Money: While the infrastructure and faculty are decent, the lack of placements and internship opportunities might deter some students from considering BBA at CUK as a worthwhile investment.

Overall, while the programme has its strengths, the absence of placements and internship opportunities is a significant drawback. Students seeking a strong career path might want to consider alternative options. However, those interested in pursuing higher studies (MBA) or other certifications might still find the programme valuable.

Q:   Is M.Sc. at CUK a good choice?

A:
{Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

M.Sc. at Central University of Karnataka (CUK): Is it a good choice?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Good faculty: Many students praised the knowledgeability and helpfulness of the faculty members, stating that they are "highly qualified" and "cooperative".
* Excellent infrastructure: The university has modern facilities, including well-equipped labs, a well-maintained library, and comfortable hostel accommodations.
* Research-oriented: The programme focuses on research and has good opportunities for internships and fieldwork, making it suitable for students interested in advancing their knowledge.
* Scholarship options: Students mentioned receiving scholarships and awards, including the top rank holder scholarship and ONGC scholarship.

Cons:

* Limited placement opportunities: Unfortunately, the department does not provide direct placements for students. Instead, students must rely on competitive exams or pursue higher studies (PhD).
* Competition-driven: The programme prepares students for competitive exams, which can be challenging and demanding.
* Limited industry exposure: While the programme provides research opportunities, some students felt that it didn't adequately prepare them for industry requirements.
* Food and hostel issues: Some students reported dissatisfaction with the food and hostel facilities.

Overall Assessment: While M.Sc. at CUK seems to have its strengths, particularly in terms of faculty and infrastructure, the limited placement opportunities and competitive nature of the programme might deter some students. Additionally, addressing the concerns regarding food and hostel facilities could enhance the overall student experience. Ultimately, prospective students should weigh these factors carefully before making an informed decision.
