No, securing admission to Central University of Orissa's (CUO) MBA programme solely based on an 88% score in the OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) isn't likely. Here's why:OJEE is primarily for engineering admissions: The OJEE exam is designed to select students for engineering programs (B.Tech and M.Tech) at universities in Odisha, including CUO. While some universities might utilize OJEE scores for specific management programs, CUO's MBA programme doesn't consider OJEE scores for the selection process.CUO MBA selection process: CUO's website mentions CAT (Common Admission Test) as the primary entrance exam for its MBA program. This aligns with the standard practice at many universities in India, where CAT scores hold significant weightage in MBA admissions. Therefore, even though you have a good score in OJEE, it won't be directly applicable to your application for CUO's MBA program. You'll need to focus on taking the CAT and securing a competitive score to improve your chances of admission. Here are some recommendations:Focus on CAT preparation: Dedicate sufficient time and effort to preparing for the CAT exam. Consider enrolling in coaching classes or utilizing online resources for comprehensive preparation.Check minimum CAT score requirements: While specific cutoffs might vary year-to-year, aim for a score that surpasses the average or minimum accepted score for the program, as mentioned on the university website or through contacting the admissions office.Consider alternative universities: If appearing for the CAT seems challenging, explore other universities in Odisha or across India that might accept OJEE scores for their MBA programs. Research and compare different universities based on their selection criteria, programme structure, and placement records.

Commencing from the 2023–2024 academic year, the Central University of Orissa (CUO) has transitioned its MBA admissions process to the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET). previously, CUO has taken its entrance exam for MBA admissions, with minimum cutoff percentiles of approximately 58 for the general category, approximately 54 for the OBC category, and approximately 53 for the SC/ST category. Later on the CUO changed to CUET as an entrance exam which led to the vanishing of the previous year's cutoff scores specifically for the MBA programme at CUO. It is noteworthy that cutoff scores depend upon various factors, including application volume, CUET exam difficulty, and seat availability. As a result, the specific cutoff scores for the 2023–24 MBA programme will be provided on the CUO official website after the release of CUET results in May 2024. Talking about the latest cutoff trend it is around 230 - 240 marks, as there is no precise information about the cutoff for 2024, you can inquire about the cutoff at the CUO via email or call the admission office at CUO.
