The Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) is located at Thiruvarur in Tamil Nadu. CUTN has an active placement cell that offers various placement opportunities to its students so that they can be well-set up at in the corporate world. According to the university records, it succeeded in offering decent placements to nearly 60% of the students. The average packages offer range from 8LPA-10 LPA while the highest salary package offered was that of 25 LPA. These packages and the chance of getting a placement entirely depends on the student's course or majors as well. Technical courses enjoy a better edge in this case for being recruiting students in various institutes as compared to other non-core courses.The average package for UG courses was INR 2.4 LPA, and for PG (2-year) and Integrated PG courses, the average package was INR 3.46 LPA and INR 4.78 LPA, respectively. Top recruiting companies in the play are companies like HDFC Bank, Jeevika, and Yes Bank which visit the university to recruit students as interns, managerial positions etc.

Any degree from a recognised University with a minimum of 55 % marks. 50% marks for OBC (Noncreamy Layer) and 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates at Graduate level. Candidates with a minimum of two years of industry and allied experience are preferred.Admission to various programmes of the CUTN is done through the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET).

For any Under Graduate couses general must be scoring 50% marks in 12th boards and 45% for OBC, ST, SC & PWD candidates.Similarly for PG courses the candidate must score 50% in undergraduate (general category) and 45% for OBC, ST, SC & PWD.

It has 2 Volleyball court, 2 basketball court, 1 Lawn tennis court, Athletic standard track of 400 meters, 1 cricket ground and indoor sports facilities are also there. Indoor sports facility of Badminton Court and Table tennis court. All these to develop students mental, physically and Social well-being.

The Central University of Tamil Nadu has released the provisional selection lists for Integrated courses including MSc, MA and MPA based on CUET scores on Aug 2 and Aug 3. Candidates seeking admission to Central University of Tamil Nadu can check their seat allotment status in the form of merit lists on the official webiste. As per the past year trends, the Central University of Tamil Nadu released provisional merit lists upto Round 11. Central University of Tamil Nadu accepts the scores obtained in CUET followed by counselling. Candidates must have appeared for CUET are eligible for admission to the university. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list must confirm their seats by completing the enrolment process and paying the fees in the given time slot, allotted by the university.
