Direct admission to a four-year BTech course is not possible as every aspirant who is seeking admission to this course has to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the university. The university has a provision to offer admission to the direct second year of BTech through Lateral Entry, but admission to this course is also done through the same admission process. The eligibility criteria slightly differ from a four-year BTech course. The website of Chandigarh University website also mentions nothing about direct admission, candidates can reach out to the admission office for their query resolution.

In addition, candidates must have finished Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%, hold a three-year Diploma in the relevant engineering or technology field, or have an undergraduate degree in BSc with a minimum aggregate of 50% in order to be admitted lateral into the second year of BTech.
