Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSC) and Animal Husbandry (AH) - Batch of 2027

Best for veterinary academics.
Placements: Paid internships are provided to every student in the college hospital and the college department itself. Additionally, students are sent to different veterinary stations for internship opportunities. While campus placements are not facilitated by the college, the degree holds high value and has a good scope.
Infrastructure: The labs and classrooms are good, and the location is one of the most beautiful veterinary colleges in India. The hostels need some maintenance as they are quite old, but the college is working on them and will likely fix them as soon as possible.
Faculty: This college is among the best in India for academics, with most teachers holding single and double-digit ranks in national-level exams. The faculty is highly experienced and has vast knowledge of their subjects. Exams are held frequently, with three internal exams taking place every alternate month, followed by two practical exams for each subject, and then two external exams for each subject in the form of paper 1 and paper 2.
Other: This is one of the highest-ranking veterinary colleges in India, often ranked 9th or 10th. While more cultural activities could enhance the experience, everything else is excellent, from the crowd and campus to the faculty, surroundings, and location, making the college unique in its own way.

Very Good College with Excellent Faculty and Infrastructure, Great for Personality Development
Placements: There are no placement offers in my course as it is just a standard graduation degree that makes us eligible for other exams after completing it. Instead of focusing on placements, we should study and prepare for exams like PO in banks, etc. This degree qualifies us to sit for such exams upon completion.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, with excellent facilities in labs, classrooms, and the library. Students who cannot commute daily are provided with hostel accommodations and have access to a health center, student welfare organizations, and a ground, among other amenities.
Faculty: All the teachers at our university are well-qualified and provide a wealth of knowledge, even beyond the course material. They make an effort to explain and ensure that even small details are understood, which can be very helpful. Outside of academics, they are approachable and willing to share additional information with us.
Other: Besides academics, students can enjoy their college life with a lot of fun activities. Various fests, sports meets, and functions are organized regularly.

Review of Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya.
Placements: There is a placement cell in the university, but it is not very active. The companies that come with job offers provide the bare minimum packages, and students usually prefer to decline them. Most of the students prefer to pursue higher studies after graduation, which are also very diverse and offer better options.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the lecture theatre is pretty much below par, but construction of a new lecture theatre is underway, though one cannot be sure how long it will take. Wi-Fi facilities are offered in the library and hostel, but otherwise there are signal blockers around the university. The library is heaven for literature enthusiasts and curious minds. They contain hundreds of books, some that cannot be found anywhere else. There is too much knowledge for self-development. The hostel does not have extraordinary sports facilities, but it is still there. The focus is mostly on table tennis and badminton, but there are also talks to develop a basketball court. The rooms in the hostel are spacious, accommodating two to three students, and contain separate wardrobes and tables.
Faculty: 5 stars to the course curriculum, which is so varied and diverse that one still has enough time to discover their own field of interest and pursue their goals accordingly. The courses offered focus on field work like agronomy, forestry, horticulture, etc.etera also experiential and development work like genetics, spoils, plant pathology, entomology, even technical courses like engineering, meteorology and food teaching, and also extension courses like sociology and economics.
Other: The college fest called the Agri Night happens once every year where different students showcase their various talents and big names like ICAR Chief come to enjoy the seminars and cultural programs of the event. There is also an intercollege sports and athletics meet every year where the 4 different colleges of the university play against each other for the sports titles.

Review of Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya.
Placements: In our college, students have opportunities for placements. Around 20-25% of students get placed in our course. The college focuses on providing the best quality education to the students. Some local companies visit our college for placements. The average package offered is 2-4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college had a pretty big and beautiful campus. The infrastructure of this college was well-maintained for our course. Our department had facilities like Physics labs, Chemistry lab, library, Wi-Fi, canteen, etc., for the students. All these facilities were of good quality.
Faculty: The faculty of the college was helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teachers were offering above-average quality teaching. The course curriculum of the college was old but relevant. Semester exams were not very hard to pass at this college. Teachers were supportive of all the students.

Experience provided by my college.
Placements: 70-80% students were passed during my batch. The highest package is approximately 20000 INR per month and the lowest is 12000 INR per month. The average package is 15-16000 INR. Nestle is the top recruiting company. Almost all the students got the internship in the companies like PepsiCo, Cremica, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Cadbury etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not so good. No proper classroom and most the machines are not working properly. The good thing about this university is that it has a good library. There is no Wi-Fi in college. The mess food is not so good. The medical facilities are up to the mark.
Faculty: The faculty is qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is above average. This course doesn't make you industry ready. The semester exams are quite easy if you have studied well during the semester. You can get the passing marks easily.
Other: I had chosen this degree because I didn't have any choice left. So I came here to study. This course should be improved and it should be made practical oriented more rather than theoretical knowledge. I had participated in youth fest organised in our university and the experience was good and also represented my college in sports and quiz competitions.

The college has good infrastructure, placements and facilities.
Placements: It has many jobs in the banking sector and in pursuing a M.Sc. and many others. This year, 7 students were selected for herbicide factories and many got selected in banking and civil service exams. We gain more knowledge about agriculture and various other sectors.
Infrastructure: There is good infrastructure.
It also have library with many good books. All the books related to our course content provide much for further study.
Teachers are average and teach quite well, which benefits us. Wi-Fi is not working and it creates problems.
Faculty: The teaching staff is good.
Semester exams are a little tough, which helps boost our knowledge. The teachers are very helpful and provide better guidance for our bright future. The college is good, as is the infrastructure. The college is based on an agriculture theme.
