The college offers various specialisations in B Tech, such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. However, there is no definitive answer to which specialisation is the best, as different specialisations may suit different learners depending on their background, interests, goals, and preferences. Some of the factors that may influence the ranking of the specialisations are:The demand and scope of the specialisation: Some specialisations may have more demand and scope in the current and future market, such as Computer Science and Engineering, which covers topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, etc. These specialisations may offer more opportunities and challenges for the students in the data-driven and digital world. The curriculum and pedagogy of the specialisation: Some specialisations may have more comprehensive, rigorous, and practical curriculum and pedagogy, such as Mechatronics Engineering, which integrates mechanical, electrical, electronics, and computer engineering to design and develop smart systems and products. These specialisations may provide more hands-on learning and industry exposure for the students in the interdisciplinary and innovative field. The placement and salary of the specialisation: Some specialisations may have more placement and salary prospects, such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, which deals with the design and development of electronic devices, circuits, and communication systems. These specialisations may attract more recruiters and offer higher salary packages for the students in the core and allied sectors.

The eligibility criteria for admission to any one of the programs in Engineering is a minimum aggregate of 60% or secures 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths in class XII. The admission shall be made on the All-India Rank (AIR) of JEE Main-2024. The cutoff rank for different branches may vary depending on the availability of seats and the number of applicants. If you have scored 70% in JEE Main, your expected percentile score would be between 90 and 923. This means your expected rank would be between 90,000 and 1,10,000. Based on the previous year’s data, this rank may not be sufficient to secure a seat in Chitkara College of Applied Engineering, Chandigarh, as the cutoff rank for most of the branches was below 50,000. However, you can still try to apply for the counselling process and see if you can get a seat in your preferred branch.

{Source: B.Arch students & alumni]Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture has a moderately busy calendar with monthly events, and the dress code is followed by both students and faculty. The college has multiple sports grounds and coaching facilities, but eating out is required despite mess fees. The mess food is of acceptable quality and variety, and the attendance policy requires complete attendance to avoid penalties. The college culture is diverse, with no language challenges, and there are designated teacher/student representatives for student support. The academic schedule is relatively hectic, and there are monthly exams and tests. The teaching methodology focuses on practical discussions around case studies, and the well-stocked library provides ample research resources. Security measures include guards and CCTV cameras, and outsiders cannot enter the campus without permission. The college takes a strict stance against ragging and has a policy of rustication for those found guilty.Based on the reviews provided, the overall infrastructure of Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture is mixed. Some reviewers found the infrastructure to be well-maintained and equipped with modern amenities, while others experienced difficulties with accessibility and cleanliness.Review 1 highlighted that the blocks are designed according to need and the interior is good, but students using wheelchairs may face challenges due to the lack of ramps or elevators. Review 2 mentioned that the facilities provided are above average, with good libraries and hostels, but the Wi-Fi connection is poor and there are no laboratories, only studios. Review 3 praised the college's well-maintained infrastructure, including good classrooms, libraries and sports facilities. On the other hand, Review 4 described the campus as fully Wi-Fi accessible, with high-tech classrooms and well-maintained hostels, but noted that the food in the mess is average. Finally, Review 5 expressed dissatisfaction with the hostel infrastructure and the behavior of the wardens, citing unnecessary restrictions and poor treatment of students. In summary, while some students had positive experiences with the college's infrastructure, others faced challenges such as accessibility issues and poor maintenance. Overall, the infrastructure of Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture seems to be a mix of strengths and weaknesses.Above answer is based on below reviewsBlocks are designed as per the . by NitikaThe facilities they have provi . by AnonymousThe infrastructure of our coll . by AkshatEvery department in Chitkara U . by KhyatiHostels at our university are . by Vikram
