If you have completed your Bachelor's degree with History honors and want to pursue a Master's degree in Law, you can consider the following options:
1. Master of Laws LL. M. LL. M. is a popular postgraduate degree in Law that is specifically designed for law graduates who want to specialize in a particular area of law. LL. M. programs typically offer various specializations, such as Corporate Law, Criminal Law, Intellectual Property Law, International Law, etc. Since you already have a Bachelor's degree in a non-law subject, you may need to check the eligibility criteria of different LL. M. programs to SEE if they admit non-law graduates.
2. Integrated LLB-LLM programme: Some universities offer integrated LLB-LLM programs that allow students to pursue both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Law simultaneously. These programs are usually of 5 years duration, and they offer a comprehensive curriculum that covers both the foundational and advanced concepts of Law.
3. Master of Arts M.A. In Legal Studies: M.A. In Legal Studies is a specialised programme that is designed for non-law graduates who want to gain a basic understanding of the legal system and the impact of law on society. The programme covers topics such as legal theory, legal history, public policy, and social justice. Before choosing a programme, it's important to do your research and consider your interests, career goals, and the eligibility criteria of different programs. You can also speak to career counsellors, faculty members, or professionals in the legal field to get more insights and guidance.
