Simple topics like, "doe's social media make one lonely?” The topic could be from current affairs or from philosophy or it could be an abstract topic. You would be given time limit to think and write.

There is no cut-off as such however the eligibility criteria varies from course to course. If the eligibility criteria mention that the candidate should have studied a certain subject in 11th & 12th then your performance in the said subject becomes an important factor, however, there are exceptions for this case too. Your admission in this University is actually a steal deal, if you do manage to secure a seat then go for it without having second thoughts provided if don't already have a seat secured in institutes of the stature of IISc, IISER, NISER etc. For your B.Sc the main thing that a personal interview for a B.Sc. Course tries to ascertain is your aptitude for the subject of your choice. While your previous academic performance might provide meaningful insight into your aptitude it does not necessarily mean that you are fit to pursue that discipline. Pursuing science for higher studies requires more than just marks, it requires will and the ability to enjoy the subject for the duration of your studies.
