A relatively newer university in Uttar Pradesh, DDU Gorakhpur University was founded in the 1970s. In eastern UP, it has a lengthy history. It has a "A" grade accreditation from NAAC and is acknowledged by UGC. Thus, its educational standards are respectable.Nonetheless, DDU GKP is not ranked particularly highly in national rankings such as NIRF. It was ranked in the 100–150 band in 2022.In comparison to private universities, the campus facilities and infrastructure might not be as sophisticated. However, it's passable.Average packages are moderate in terms of placements. Mostly government hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, etc. are top recruiters. When you compare the fee schedule to private colleges, it's pretty reasonable. However, the curriculum may not be on par with that of prestigious tech schools.Ultimately, DDU GKP is not the "best" college in Lucknow, but it does have a strong brand in Uttar Pradesh.

Candidates must have passed the 12th grade with PCM as one of their major subjects in order to be admitted to the BTech program.Typically, a minimum of 60% (or 55% for SC/ST candidates) on the 12th standard or its equivalent is required for admission. Both the qualifying exam and state-level engineering entrance exams, such as UPSEE, are used to determine admissions. To be admitted through UPSEE, you must achieve the necessary exam rank. Your chances of being admitted via UPSEE with a 60% grade in your senior year will be determined by your UPSEE scorecard. To summarize, having a 60% in your 12th grade does not ensure admission; it only qualifies you to apply. Your chances of admission to DDU GKP BTech will be based on your overall merit, test results, preferences, and seat availability. It's best to concentrate on getting good UPSEE scores.

UPSEE rank is the main requirement for DDU GKP admission to the B.Tech program. Marks from class 12 have a moderate weight. The UPSEE rank cutoffs for General students are relatively high, ranging from 5000 to 10,000 in order to get into elite branches like Mechanical and CSE.You will need a very good UPSEE rank below 5000 to have a chance at the general category, as your class 12 score was only 70%.Cutoffs may be lower for SC/ST students, typically between ranks 10000 and 15000. In this instance, 70% might be enough. In summary, admission to DDU GKP BTech may require more than just meeting the 70% requirements in the 12th grade, particularly for General category applicants. You must meet the cutoff with a 12th grade and a strong UPSEE rank.
