{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Sc Courses at Gargi CollegeBased on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what can be concluded:* Limited Placements: Unfortunately, the placement cell does not seem to be effective for B.Sc courses, particularly for Physics students, as mentioned by multiple reviewers. Only a minority of students (around 30%) reported getting placed.* Few Job Opportunities: The placement cell primarily focuses on hiring students from commerce and humanities backgrounds, leaving Science students with limited options.* Low Salary Packages: When students did manage to secure jobs, the salary packages were relatively low, ranging from INR2.5 Lacs to INR6 Lacs per annum.* Internship Opportunities: While the placement cell does organize internships, these may not necessarily lead to full-time job offers. Few students reported securing internships, and these opportunities seemed to be largely dominated by commerce and humanities students.* Insufficient Guidance: Some reviewers felt that the placement cell lacked adequate guidance and support for Science students, leading to a lack of clarity on job prospects and career paths.Overall, the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Sc courses at Gargi College appears to be limited, with Science students facing significant challenges in finding job opportunities.
