Hello, to secure admission in either IIT Gandhinagar, or DAIICT, you have to give two different exams. For DAIICT you need to appear for GUJCET if you are a resident of Gujarat or you have to appear for JEE Mains in order to secure admission through All India Quota. In my opinion, DAIICT is equivalent and better than IIT, Gandhinagar reason being that IIT, Gandhinagar is a new IIT, so it is not that recognized. DAIICT is well recognized as compared to IIT, Gandhinagar. It totally depends on you what you opt for. Go through the course details of both the colleges, interact with some of the seniors who have attended the college, you will gain a better insight of the academic scenario of the colleges. It is a cumulative course involving the study of core subjects of CS,IT and EC. There are a lot of opportunities in future in ICT. Since placement is the only concern the average salary is Rs 7.5 lakhs per annum. Besides IIIT Banglore is recently established college and is not recognized yet.

DAIICT is no doubt the best of the two, the reason being that it offers ICT course ( a cumulative course of CS + IT + EC). Moreover, there is a lot of scope for further studies & better job and research opportunities in ICT field as compared to normal CS course offered in VIT. Besides the "coding culture" in DAIICT is the best after IIT's and BITS. One of the websites for competitive coding had conducted a study to find out the best colleges in the world in the field of competitive coding and DAIICT was ranked 30th position and the list did not contain VIT at all.
