The eligibility is 50% marks either in Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce or Bachelor's in Engineering / Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks. Admission is on the basis of merit in the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test conducted by the University.

Normally, no university allows a student to pursue PG (MA) in a subject if the student has not studied that subject at the level of graduation. Same is the case with Dibrugarh University also.
