Why I chose DTU MEEV not NSUT EE?
Placements: The placement percentage of MEEV is 60-70% which is far better than CE placement stats. Firstly, I was in CE but I upgraded my branch because it is quite easier to get placement in MEEV because tech companies allowed ME students not CE. Top recruiting companies are generally, Teach giants like Google, etc. And in ME and MEEV 60-70% students got internship in 2nd or 3rd year.
Infrastructure: The facilities in DTU is better than NSUT. The labs as well as classrooms of DTU have ACs and WiFi. Also we have a library that open for 24 hrs includes all type of Engineering books but however Woman's are not allowed to freely move after 11 pm in campus. There is also a healthcentre that open 24 hrs and a sports complex that has all type of gaming courts. For girls we have 2 hostels VLB and BCH. VLB is ACs but BCH not.
Faculty: The teachers here in DTU are very hill and there is no issue of attendance at all. We can easily bunk classes. They teach us industry oriented stuff. It is quite easier to pass MEEV because we got full marks in VIVA and in internals. The pass percentage of MEEV is 80%.
Other: I chose DTU EE, not NSUT MEEV because DTU campus is bigger than NSUT and DTU campus has more facilities than NSUT.

DTU MEEV is considered better than NSUT ME.
Placements: About 70% of students in ME mostly secure placements through government jobs, especially in core fields, while others opt for teaching positions. Additionally, 60% of students secure internships in ME. The highest package in ME is 80 LPA in teaching, with the lowest being 5 LPA and an average of 9 LPA. In on-campus placements, core branch students cannot participate in teaching placements. Typically, students prefer to take the GATE exam after completing their ME degree.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the labs of MEEV at DTU are fantastic, providing top-quality lab equipment. DTU also houses a society that designs cars, specifically recruiting ME students. The labs are equipped with Wi-Fi, but they are not air-conditioned. DTU has 7 hostels for boys and 3 for girls, each with separate mess facilities and indoor gaming areas. Additionally, there is a gym and a sports complex with various gaming courts. A 24-hour health center is also available.
Faculty: The teachers at DTU are highly qualified and helpful. They excel in teaching us in labs, covering topics like welding, which is beneficial for industry-oriented work. ME students find it relatively easy to pass as they receive full marks in ME labs and internals. The pass percentage for ME is 80%.
Other: DTU is bustling with fests; recently, on January 27th and 28th, we had Summit. Other fests include Aahvan, Yuvaan, Aarmabh, Engifest, etc.

    Events (engifest).
Placements: The placements at Delhi Technological University are quite satisfactory. In the previous year, approximately 58% of the students in the automotive branch secured placements. The average package offered in this branch was decent, standing at around 10 LPA. I am aware of a mechanical engineering student who landed a job at Microsoft with a package of approximately 1.09 crores.
Infrastructure: The classrooms at DTU are satisfactory, boasting a notably large and well-equipped library. However, the campus Wi-Fi coverage is inconsistent. I have rated it 3 stars primarily due to the hostel facilities, which provide servant quarters for first-year students. The quality of the mess food is acceptable, but not exceptional.
Faculty: Educators showed little concern for students and instead instilled fear regarding attendance. Independence is crucial as you navigate through your academic journey. During the initial year, all subjects will be thoroughly taught. By practicing previous year's questions, scoring 70 percent on semester exams is achievable.
Other: I am not particularly fond of my course; I opted for it solely because I did not achieve a higher percentile in JEE Main. However, the events at DTU are the highlight of this college. The campus crowd is satisfactory, and the student ratio at DTU is approximately 80:3. Moreover, the sports facilities are excellent.

Mechanical Engineering at DTU placements are average.
Placements: Almost 70 percent of students were placed in mechanical engineering; the rest either chose to go for higher studies or GATE or civil services. The top companies coming are Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata, etc. The average package in mechanical engineering is 13 LPA, and the highest stands at 35 LPA.
Infrastructure: Mechanical Engineering at DTU is regarded as one of the best in Asia. With high-class labs and highly qualified faculty members, DTU stands at the top with high-end placements and top-notch education. Hostels for first-year students are normal hostels with double sharing in a room.
Faculty: The teachers here are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Almost everyone has a Ph.D. and years of teaching experience. The curriculum is relevant and on par with industry norms. Students passing out are always industry-ready and outshine in every field. Semester exams are not that difficult because students are highly efficient.

Absolutely satisfied, amazing campus life, really good placements, well maintained infrastructure.
Placements: I am pursuing a B.Tech. In mechanical engineering with a specialization in automotive engineering. Here, I'll be providing the placement states for the 2022–23 batch and all of this can be verified through the website of DTU TNP. The branch saw the placement of nearly 60% of students with an average CTC of 11.05 LPA. There were a total of 42 offers and the highest of them stood at 31 LPA. The data for the lowest package is not available but it must have been in the range of 5-7 LPA. The internship opportunities for the branch are fewer, as most of the companies offer internships in the teaching sector. If you have sufficient teaching knowledge, you can apply for them, as huge companies like Google, Amazon, etc. are generally open to all branches. The top companies specific to this branch are Tata, Mahindra, TCS, HCL, Maruti, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities at DTU are top-notch. From amazing air-conditioned classrooms to well-maintained labs, everything is at a very good level. There are different labs for each branch and every branch has a different department building. The lab contains most of the advanced equipment required for the subject. The DTU has a central Wi-Fi connection, which can be accessed through the login credentials provided by the DTU. The Wi-Fi speed is decent for daily use but you can face problems while downloading heavy files. The hostels at DTU are available for both boys and girls. The hostels are not quite good but they are enough to fulfil your daily needs. The mess food is decent, with no complaints. The canteen food is very good and economical, with different options for you to choose from. Sports facilities at DTU are managed at a very high level. There are different grounds for football, cricket and kabaddi; separate basketball and lawn tennis courts; an indoor badminton court; and a table tennis court.
Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable but most of them lack the skill of connecting with students. Most of the students go to the classes just for the sake of attendance and usually study through Youtube. The teaching quality is not good, to say the least. The course curriculum is not entirely made to make you industry-ready, as it is a very old curriculum. You'll be industry-ready by working in the industry itself and learning. The semester exams are not very difficult and most of the students are able to pass them without difficulty. Some exams are set to be tough, while others are quite easy so the level of difficulty is variable.
Other: The most important reason for me to choose the college was the value DTU provides and the campus life it has to offer. The mechanical branch of DTU is very reputed and the career in it is also decent. The things that I would like to improve in my course are the teaching quality of professors and the relevancy of the curriculum. Apart from these things, the college has a lot. Every month, there is an event so the campus remains lively. DTU's annual 3-day cultural festival, Engifest, is one of the largest festivals in the country, with a footfall of 1.5 million people. Stars like Mohit Chauhan, Siddhu Mossewala, Admit Trivedi, Sunidhi Chauhan, Piyush Mishra, and Raftaar have performed at Engifest. The campus surrounding DTU has not much to offer as it is on the outskirts of Rohini. But it is a 5-minute journey to Rohini, where you can have amazing street food, restaurants, etc. DTU has many scholarships for students (like the recent Dell Scholarship Programme) and every year, the newcomers are informed about the same. Extracurricular activities are very popular at DTU. There are different societies and clubs for different fields like dance, music, photography, art, debating, coding, etc.

Q:   Do I need 75% to get into DTU?

    A:

For admission to most of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at Delhi Technological University, students are required to score 50% to 60% minimum aggregate in their last qualifying degree or course to be eligible. A course-wise list of eligibility criteria for DTU admission is mentioned in the following table:

    Course NameEligibility Criteria
    BTech

    Class 12 with 60%

    BDes

    A pass in Class 12

    BBA

    Class 12 with 50%

    MSc

Class 12 with 50% in Economics
    MTech

Relevant UG degree with at least 60%

    MDes

    4-year UG with 55%

    E-MBA

    Any UG degree with 60%

    MSc

Relevant BSc/ UG degree with 55%

    E-MBA

    UG degree with 50%

    PhD

    Relevant PG degree with 55%

Hence, as per the table, it can be concluded that while all 75% scorers will be preferred at DTU, the minimum requirement to get admission and be eligible for DTU admission is comparatively low.

Q:   How can I get admission in DTU?

    A:

To get admission to BTech at DTU, go to the site of JAC Delhi and register yourself and according to the schedule attend the counseling. On the day of counseling bring all the required certificates as mentioned on the website of JAC Delhi. The list will come out on the website itself and you are done after paying all the fees. The admission is solely dependent on the rank in JEE MAIN. Check all the cutoffs of the previous years before attending the counselling.

Q:   I have scored less than 60% in 12th boards. Can I get admission for B.Tech at DTU?

    A:

To be eligible for applying to BTech admission at DTU, candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria specified by the university. For BTech admission, a candidate must have passed Class 12 with minimum 60%  aggregate with PCM and English Core as subjects. The minimum aggregate for various reserved categories is 50%-55%. Hence, whether the candidate is eligible to apply for BTech admission at DTU depends on their reservation category.

However, meeting the eligibility criteria does not gurantee admission at the university. The seat allocation is based on the applicant's score in JEE Main, followed by the JAC couselling. In case a candidate fails to secure a seat for BTech at DTU, they can check out other colleges offering ofline and online BTech courses.

Q:   Can I get admission in DTU? I have not appeared for JEE mains.

    A:

The admission criteria for BTech at DTU clearly state that JEE Mains rank is considered for the selection of eligible candidates. Therefore, it is suggested to get qualifying scores at JEE Mains for admission at DTU. Additionally, students are also required to go through the JAC counselling process to get a seat at Delhi Technological University. After the result of JEE Main, JAC counselling for seat allotment is usually conducted in four rounds. However, there are additional spot rounds conducted for vacant seats (if available).

Q:   Is there an entrance conducted by DTU for admission?

    A:

No, DTU does not conduct any entrance exam of its own for admission to any of the UG, PG or doctoral-level courses. Admission for the flagship BTech programme is based on JEE Main scores and the entire process of counselling are conducted by JAC Delhi. Further, DTU admission to all the remaining courses is mostly based on national/ university-level entrance exams, such as UCEED,  GATE,  CAT,  MAT and CMAT, among others. However, there are a few MBA specialised courses and BBA, admission to which is offered based on the past qualifying exam  (UG level) followed by an interview round.
