Delhi Technological University (DTU) generally holds a higher reputation compared to NIT Jamshedpur, largely due to its advantageous location in Delhi, which offers greater exposure and opportunities for internships, industry interactions, and placements. DTU boasts strong faculty, diverse programs, and well-established infrastructure. Placement statistics often favor DTU, with higher average packages. However, NIT Jamshedpur is also respected, especially in core engineering fields, and offers a good return on investment due to lower fees (around INR 1.25 Lacs per year) compared to DTU's higher tuition (approximately INR 1.9 Lacs per year). The choice between the two should consider individual preferences for location, branch of study, and specific career goals.

Yes, DTU is considered as a good option to go for BDes.DTU is a well-established university with a strong reputation in engineering. This brand value can be beneficial in the job market. Being part of a technical university can expose you to engineering principles and design thinking with a technical bent, which could be valuable in certain design fields. Faculty size is lower compared to dedicated design colleges, but some professors hold qualifications from prestigious design institutes. Compared to private design colleges, DTU offers a BDes programme at a more affordable cost.
