For admission to colleges like DTU (Delhi Technological University), NSUT (Netaji Subhas University of Technology), IIT Delhi, and IGDTUW (Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women), eligibility criteria usually require 60% aggregate in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) for general category candidates. Here's how the improvement exam for eligibility works: Do they accept improvement marksheets? Yes, these colleges do accept improvement marksheets if issued by the board from which you appeared for your class 12.Improved marks should reflect on your original marksheet and submitted along with the application form at the time of counselling. Do you need to give improvement in all 5 subjects or only PCM? In order to qualify for PCM aggregate (60%), it is not necessary to improve all 5 or 6 subjects. You can improve only those subjects that are affecting your percentage in PCM.For example, You scored poorly in Mathematics or Chemistry. Improvement in just those subjects is enough to bring your PCM average above 60%.However, the total number of attempts should not violate your board's improvement policies, which are mostly one-time improvement. Eligibility Confirmation of AdmissionDTU and NSUT: 60% PCM for General category students. You are eligible as far as your improvement marks stand.IIT Delhi: JEE Advanced: Top 20 percentile or 75% aggregate (earlier the requirement, check current JEE norms) is taken, not aggregate in each subject.IGDTUW: It is the same case like DTU and NSUT. The minimum PCM percentage should be 60% for General candidates. Important PointsTimeline for Improvement Exams:Improved mark sheet should be available before the counseling or admission deadline.Check the admission brochure for timelines specific to these universities.Validity of Improvement Marks:Improvement marks sheets are regarded as valid proof of your updated scores. They must be issued in the same year or the next immediate academic session.Board Policies:Boards like CBSE allow improvement for specific subjects without requiring all 5-6 subjects to be attempted once again. SuggestionIf your current PCM percentage is far from 60%, consider improving all three PCM subjects. However, if the deficit is small, improvement in 1-2 subjects may suffice. Always aim for a safe buffer (above 60%) to avoid eligibility risks.Feel free to ask if you need guidance.

Since you are a resident of Haryana, the fact now that you hold an OBC certificate awarded by the central government would lead to doubts about being eligible for admission to DTU (Delhi Technological University). Many institutions keep such conditions, and DTU is one among many other institutions in the light of which usually a student from outside Delhi (whether Haryana) should furnish an OBC certificate specifically from the state's governing body for OBC category to avail a site-specific reservation. A central OBC certificate may not be good for state quotas or any specific reservatioms.Applying to DTU under the official guideliness, it clearly mentions ideal applicants would have an OBC certificate from the Delhi state government for the OBC category to avail them of Delhi reservation benefits: You should visit DTU's admissions office or look at the admission brochure to see the guidelines for OBC candidates coming from other states like Haryana in order to verify your eligibility. If needed, you may have to apply for a state-specific OBC certificate in Haryana for local reservations.

In terms of CRL ranking, at 316,315 in JEE Mains, admission to DTU or NSUT will not be probable. For B.Tech programs in DTU, the closing ranks generally vary from around 12,000 to 30,000, which varies from the branch and category. In the case of NSUT also, the cutoff is quite competitive and generally varies in the same range. Hence, your rank is not qualified enough for these colleges to seek admission in those colleges through the JAC Delhi counseling process. So, look for other colleges or alternatives for engineering courses.
