The admission process and cutoffs for engineering branches at Delhi Technological University (DTU) can vary from year to year based on various factors such as the number of applicants, seat availability, and the overall performance of candidates in the JEE exam. As an AI language model, I don't have access to real-time or specific cutoff information for DTU's IT branch with OBC category and defense quota. The cutoffs can also differ based on the category and quota you belong to. To have a better understanding of your chances of admission, it's recommended to check the official website of DTU or the official admission brochure for the current year. These sources typically provide detailed information about the admission process, eligibility criteria, and cutoffs for different branches and categories. Additionally, you can refer to the previous year's cutoff data to get an estimate of the cutoffs for the IT branch with OBC category and defense quota. However, keep in mind that cutoffs can vary each year, so it's crucial to consider the most recent data. It's also advisable to reach out to DTU's admissions office or the concerned department directly for more accurate and personalized information regarding your chances of admission based on your JEE percentile, category, and quota. They will be able to provide you with the most up-to-date information and guide you through the admission process.

If you have scored well in JEE Mains but have received a compartment in one subject, there are a few options you can consider:
1. Clear the Compartment Exam: The first step is to focus on preparing for and clearing the compartment exam in the subject you received a compartment in. Put in dedicated efforts to study and revise the subject material. Consult your teachers or tutors for guidance and make a study plan to cover the necessary topics.
2. Seek Improvement Exam: If you are unable to clear the compartment exam before the admission process at DTU, you can consider appearing for an improvement exam. Improvement exams allow you to reattempt the subject and improve your score. Check the guidelines provided by the examination board to understand the eligibility criteria and process for improvement exams.
3. Check DTU's Admission Policy: It's important to check the specific admission policy of DTU regarding compartment exams. Some universities may have different criteria for considering students with compartment exams. Contact DTU's admission department or visit their official website to understand their policy and whether they allow students with compartment exams to seek admission.
4. Explore Alternative Options: While working towards clearing the compartment or appearing for an improvement exam, you can also consider exploring alternative options. Look into other universities or colleges that offer courses similar to the one you wish to pursue at DTU. Research their admission criteria and SEE if you meet the requirements. It's crucial to remain focused and determined during this time. With proper preparation, it is possible to overcome a compartment and pursue your desired course at DTU or other institutions. Keep in touch with your school or college administration, stay updated with the latest information, and seek guidance from professionals in the field. Good luck!
