Due to increase in crime rate and criminals, the scope of Forensic Science is increased exponentially. There are lots of job opportunities in the field of Forensic Science. The need of forensic scientists is huge all around the world, especially in India. Though both the universities help you in achieving your dreams but being an alumni of LPU let me share the details.
The Forensic Science domain promises to create a research and placement oriented environment. The department regularly works on student research projects with novel ideas of applied value. : Highly experienced faculty excellent in terms of their educational background, research and teaching. Academic tasks such Class Participation, Design Problem, Term Paper, Assignment, Live examples, AV-aids. Test and Quiz based on various competitive examinations, Case studies on Current research scenario, moot court sessions and CSI activities.The lab facilities include Centrifugation Facilities, Advanced Microscopy (COMPARISON MICROSCOPE) and Spectroscopy.The labs in the university has following highlights:-
1. At the Department, we have state-of-the-art centrifugal systems, capable of separating important biomolecules like DNA, Protein and other cellular components to analyze different evidences such as blood recovered from a crime scene.
2. At the Department, we have state-of-the-art facilities of different types of microscopes which can not only help in native visualizations, and analysis via a real time connection with a computer.
3. At the Department, we have state-of-the-art Spectroscopic systems, including UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer [FTIR], interfaced with computers to carry out the sensitive measurements.
Some of the organization where students are working are State and Central Forensic Science Laboratories.
