Guru Jambheshwar University of Science And Technology admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The university conducts an entrance exam to shortlist candidates for various UG and PG courses. Apart from this,  Directorate national-level entrance exams like JEE Main,  CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. The university offers more than 50 courses at UG and PG levels in multiple streams such as Engineering, Management, Science, Arts, etc. in campus and through affiliated colleges. GJUST also has a Directorate of Distance Education to offer UG and PG courses in distance education mode.

Admission to the UG-level course is merit/JEE score based. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirements can visit the university website to apply. After application submission, it is scanned by the authorities and cutoff list is published. The applicants who meet the cutoff criteria then need to take part in HSTES counselling. In the counselling, seats are allotted and cutoff is released for each round of counselling until all the seats are filled.

The last year 2023 cutoff ranks for BTech courses ranged between 135587 and 262201. Out of all the specialisations, the most competitive cutoff was for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering branch. Observing the last three years cutoff trend, a huge decline appears in the closing rank of the last round for General-All India category candidates. 

The subjects in the course curriculum are more specialisation specific in the third semester or from the second year of the course. A course-wise placements report has not been released by the authorities. In the 2023 placements as per an overall report, a total of 77 companies took part and selected 330 students. The highest package offered during the placements stood at INR 14.75 LPA. Some of the top companies that participated in the placements drive were IBM, Nagarro, Haldiram's, Amazon, etc.

Guru Jambeshawar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) carried out selection procedure as per the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) Diploma Pharmacy. Students are admitted as per their scores in the last qualifying examination. The aspirants should check out GJUST BPharm eligibility criteria before applying as well. Moreover, the seat allotment is done through a counselling round.
