Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.Com at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya?

A:
{Source: B.Com students & alumni}

Course Curriculum

* According to some students, the course curriculum is not entirely satisfactory as it hasn't been updated recently, leading to outdated syllabi and acts being taught.
* However, another student mentioned that the curriculum is relevant and prepares students for industry-ready jobs.
* A few students praised the teaching quality, saying that the professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable, making the learning experience effective.
* Despite the mixed reviews, most students agreed that the course covers a wide range of subjects and topics related to commerce.

Note: Since there aren't many direct comments on the structure of the course curriculum, I've tried to summarize the general feedback provided by the students.

Is GGU good for your future!
Placements: Almost 7% of the students were to be placed. The average package is a minimum of 5 lacs. Byju's Mahindra, etc., are some of the recruiting companies that come here. Almost 16% of students have their internship done in every batch here. I don't know much more.
Infrastructure: As the Central University, it is very big, almost 650 acres. The infrastructure is very good; it has separate buildings for every department. Every department has its own mini-library, and it has a pretty big library. Has separate hostel facilities with a good canteen and medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are good but are a bit careless towards students class projects and presentations, although scholars are there for good and are very helpful. Although the university is good, you cannot be ready for the future. You have to do a masters degree minimum.
Other: As I opted for commerce in high school, I had a good option to do B.Com. here, which was pretty close to my hometown. The best thing about my course is that it has a much wider variety of careers to offer. There are many festivals that happen throughout the year. Scholarships are good; about 6500–10700 are offered.

The college campus is very big.
Placements: Our batch was of 150 students with 3 sections. 50 students in each section. Out of which 10% students were placed. 20000/- per month was offered from our course. NISM was the only company that came to recruit. Only 10% got internship. Mutual fund and loan sales roles were offered.
Infrastructure: Library, Sports ground, administration, classrooms, Medical center, parking, labs, canteen, and auditorium are available in the college. Quality was nice of the sports ground, library, parking etc. But the infrastructure of the classrooms wasn't good and Wi-Fi connection was poor.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified and knowledgeable accordingly and the teaching quality was also good. But they were not very serious about students' interest in studies. Else course curriculum is relevant but it doesn't make the students industry ready. Semester exams in the college are okay, neither too easy nor too hard. The passing percentage was 45%.
Other: I wanted a Bachelor degree in B.Com (hons.) so I chose this course.

One of the best college of Chhattisgarh .
Placements: To get admission in this college you need to qualify CUET exam and cutoff is 90 to 130 general test. Only 60% student get the placement and the highest and the lowest package is 5lpa to 2lpa and the average is 3 Lacs. The top roles offered are assistant and junior research field.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure are quite good and the classroom are having digtial learning and the good capacity of space, large library and lots of books, magazines and newspapers even rare books and novels Even hostel are also their for both girls and boys and different hostel for 1 year students.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable even understanding but some teachers face problem in language barriers but they are helpful in nature In every year their are 2 semester and at the end of each semester their is final exam and the passing marks should be 50%. .
Other: I choose this subject because have interest in this and love studying this subject The teachers should improve their teaching skills.

This university is worth the money invested.
Placements: I didn't know personally how the placements are held in the university because I'm in my second semester, but I know it from my seniors that the placements of university specially in my course which is B.Com (Hons) are not good. Placements of other courses like B.Tech are very good.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my building which is UTD is not good, it is very old, it needs to be renovated but the infrastructure of other departments is ageeable. Wi-Fi is good. The girl's hostel is not that much up to the mark, but the 2 new boys' hostels are great and the old one is average.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, and they are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good here. The course curriculum is relevant, it helps the students to become industry ready. The semester exams are not that much difficult if you have studied then you will pass.

This is a very good college, and I recommend everyone to take admission.
Placements: Almost 85% of the students were placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 25,000 per month. Companies like Birla, Godrej, ICICI Bank, Mahindra Finance Company, Jayaswal Neco, which is in Raipur, CG, are top recruiters. There are huge roles offered as it is a central university. All the students got internships.
Infrastructure: The college has a very good and very comfortable infrastructure. There are always a Wi-Fi connection and proper labs. There are also department libraries and central library. There are very clean classrooms. There are very good facilities in the hostel. Proper food is served here. Medical facilities along with various sports and games, are available here.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are very helpful and highly qualified of each stream. They have a lot of knowledge. Their teaching quality is also very good. All the curriculum and topics are very relevant, and that can definitely make us ready for the industries.
Other: I have chosen this course because already I am a commerce stream student, and this course can help me to make me gain more knowledge. I want to gain more knowledge and improve my presentations skills and communication skills. Overall, everything is very good here.

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya College review.
Placements: In my college, there are about 20% of students who will get placement in our course. In my college, in my course, the highest package offered was, I think, about 5 lacs per annum, the lowest was about 1.5 lakh per annum and the average package is something like 2 to 3 lacs per annum in our course. Infosys and Wipro are the top recruiting companies for our college. 50% to 60% students got internship from our course in companies like Jindal steel, etc. Senior accountant, CS, etc. are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: In our college GGV department, there are good facilities and infrastructure available; there are computer labs for tally and other courses; a good frequency of Wi-Fi; smart classrooms; and a library for the personal department. In our hostel, the quality of the facilities is good. The food in the mess is of excellent quality, the medical facilities are also good and the sports are also better.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and have excellent knowledge. And about the teaching quality, it is very good. Yes, the course curriculum is very much relevant and it makes the students capable and ready for future alternative examinations and challenges.
Other: It was a good experience.
