As the college has now been converted into a fully residential university named Harcourt Butler Technical University, its selection procedure will surely change from the year to come. As the sources say, it shall be taking admissions in its B.Tech programme through the JEE Mains.
Admission in HBTU from 2017 onwards will take place through:
1) JEE Mains for MCA and B.Tech courses.
2) GATE for admission in M.Tech program.
3) Admission in Ph.D programmes under quality improvement programmes is done by Principal QIP coordinator nominated by Government of India every year.

Placements are good in our college. The legacy of the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) is enough to get good placements for all students.
