In Electrical and Communications Engineering, the cutoff percentage ranges from 67% to 34%. About 45–35% of applicants are required to complete the B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering. About 36% to 53% will be the cutoff for the Dual Degree programme. The above deadlines apply to students in the General category; for students in other categories, they may vary.Annual cutoffs may differ depending on a number of variables, including the overall number of candidates, JEE-Advanced difficulty level, and available seats. After the whole admissions process—which includes counselling and seat assignment—is finished, the institute usually makes the cutoffs public. The official cutoff information can be found by visiting the IIST website.

M.Tech at IIST - Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is better than Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering. The students are placed in ISRO because of the excellent relationship between IIST and ISRO. In a variety of engineering specialties, SCTCE has a strong placement history with numerous companies. Comparatively speaking to SCTCE, IIST often charges greater tuition. But the organisation provides a range of financial assistance and scholarships.Providing M.Tech programmes in areas such as Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, Control Systems, Thermal and Propulsion, etc., IIST is a university that specialises only in aerospace and related fields. A far wider variety of M.Tech programmes in computer science, electronics and communication, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and other engineering fields are available at SCTCE.

With a score of 280 in JEE Mains, you have a good chance of getting admission to top NITs (National Institutes of Technology) such as NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy, and NIT Surathkal for B.Tech. However, admission to IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) is highly competitive, and the cutoff ranks may vary each year. It is recommended to check the official website of IIST for the most accurate information on admission criteria and cutoff ranks. The JEE Main marks vs. percentile vs. rank data can provide a general idea of the expected rank based on the marks scored. According to the data, candidates are required to score above 250 marks to obtain a percentile of more than 90, which can be helpful in understanding the expected rank based on the marks obtained. For admission to IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), candidates typically need to score 280-300+ in JEE Advanced. The cutoff ranks for CSE in the top IITs are usually under 250. It's important to note that admission criteria and cutoff ranks can vary each year, so it's advisable to refer to the official websites of the respective institutes for the most current information.
