The Department of Management Studies (DMS) at IIT Delhi offers MBA, MBA (Telecom), Executive MBA, and PhD programs. Eligibility criteria include a recognized Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.00/10. Relaxation to 55% or 5.50 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Final-year candidates can apply, with provision to join upon submitting results. Admission involves CAT scores, interview assessment of personality and knowledge, followed by an offer letter sent to registered email. Successful candidates must deposit fees by the deadline. Q:   How can I get admission at IIT Delhi?

A: 

IIT Delhi admission is entrance-based for all the programmes (Except for PG Diploma). For the diploma course, selection is done merit-basis. Candidates who have passed Class 12 can apply for the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi undergraduate courses. More details around the admission process of some of the courses are provided below:

  • Candidates, who have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with an aggregate of 75% or above, can appear for JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced and JoSAA Counselling to seek BTech admission at IIT Delhi.
  • Admission to MTech course is based on merit in GATE exam followed by GOAP counselling.
  • For MSc, aspirants need to apply with a valid score of IIT JAM and selected candidates have to further go through CCMN counselling.

    Q:   Which all Certificate courses are available at IIT Delhi?

    Presently, IIT Delhi is offering seven Certificate courses, including Digital Marketing, Data Science, Human Resource Management, Business Management, Design Thinking & Innovation, Industrial Design, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Project Management. The college offers courses at the UG and PG levels across the Design, Management, Engineering, and several other streams. At the UG level, IIT Delhi offers B.Tech, B. Des and other courses to students. At the PG level, the college offers M.A. M.Tech, M.A. M.Sc. And other courses to students. The candidates must fill out the application form to get admission to the Certificate and other courses offered by the college. For getting admission to certificates and other courses, the candidates must follow a certain admission procedure. The candidates must fill out the application form in online and offline modes and then must submit the form with the application fees.

    Q:   Is hostel compulsory at IIT Delhi?

    It is voluntary to opt for the hostel facility at IIT Delhi. In fact, if a candidate lives within a 15 km radius of the campus, they won't be allotted a hostel room at all. However, the institute houses 11 boys' hostels and two girls' hostels which is enough to accommodate the willing candidates. IIT Delhi has a technologically advanced campus spread across 325 acres of land. The premier institute has one of the best campuses in India state-of-the-art infrastructure, modern amenities and research laboratories. Currently, the Deemed University has six distinct schools, including Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology & Management, Amar Nath & Shashi Khosla School of Information Technology, Kusuma School of Biological Sciences, School of Artificial Intelligence, School of Public Policy and School of Interdisciplinary Research.

    Q:   Can a boy and girl share a room in IIT Delhi?

    No, IIT Delhi has separate hostels for Boys and Girls. There are no co-ed hostels. The institute has no tolerance policy for the same. Boys can only visit the girls' hostel visitor’s room and vice-versa. On house days, the institute may allow students to visit other hostels.

Further, a total of 1,000 students were uniquely selected during IIT Delhi placement 2024 (phase 1). Apart from this, more than 50 international offers (including PPOs) were received from around 20 international companies during Phase I IIT Delhi placement 2024. Moreover, Core (Technical) sector emerged as the top recruiting sector that placed 20.7% of the total students.
