The eligibility criteria for admission to the MSc course at IIT Delhi differ according to the MSc specialisation selected by the candidates. The basic eligibility criteria are that candidates must complete their graduation/bachelor's with at least 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA/CPI out of 10 without rounding off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for the General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS category. Check out the MSc specialisation-wise eligibility criteria below:MSc (Chemistry)- Bachelor's degree with Chemistry as a subject for three years? /six semesters and Mathematics at a higher senior secondary level. MSc (Mathematics)- Bachelor's degree with Mathematics as a subject for at least two years/ four semesters.MSc (Physics)- Bachelor's degree with Physics as a subject for two years? /? four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/two semesters.MSc (Cognitive Science)- Qualifying degree must be BA /BSc /BCom/ BMS/BE/ BTech/ BStat/ BMath.MSc (Economics)- Qualifying degree must be: BA/ BSc/ BCom/ BTech/ BE/ BStat/ BMath or equivalent.MSc (Biological Science)- The qualifying degree must be: A three or four-year bachelor's degree in any branch of STEM.Additionally, IIT Delhi MSc admissions are based on JAM (for Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Economics), COGJET/ GATE/ JAM/ NET, and an interview (for Cognitive Science).

Yes, any candidate who has passed BE/ BTech/ MSc or equivalent with a minimum 60% aggregate are eligible to apply for IIT Delhi M.Tech programme. Aspirants must also qualify GATE for admission to MTech. Aspirants with a score equal to or more than the cutoff also have to go through a counselling round. Once selected, aspirants have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

The admissions to the MTech programmes of IIT Delhi are mainly on the basis of the GATE scores of the candidates. The cut-off scores of GATE eligibility change every year along with criteria like the area of specialisation, category of General, OBC, SC/ST, and the number of applications. Check out last year's M.Tech cutoff trends below: Computer Science and Engineering: Cut offs of GATE in 2023 for CSE at IIT Delhi is 675 for General, 640 for OBC and 500 for SC/ST/PwD.Other Specialisations: The cutoff for other streams is different. For eg, the GATE cut-off for Textile Technology was around 400.Hence, candidates with the GATE score between 400 and 675 can get admission to M.Tech course, canddiates ust noted that this cutoff range is as per an unofficial source and hence, is indicative.
