In short term, graduates in CSE gets more pay & attention but in the longer run, it evens out. However, I would like to advise you sincerely that, your criteria for selection should not be money but fascination for a subject. Then study becomes happiness and one enjoys whole course. Please do mediate, think, discuss and then only select.

Candidates who have secured at least 75% (65% for SC/ST) marks at 10+2 level or be in the top 20 percentiles in 10+2 board examination. A valid score in JEE Advanced is mandatory for admission.
All M.Tech students who are GATE qualified get stipend. The amount is according to the current AICTE or UGC policy (I'm not sure which). Currently, the amount is 8000 per month.
Thank you.

If you are a general candidate, then you should be under 200. For this, you should get at least 290-300 marks out of 372 in JEE Advance.
