The Indian Maritime University (IMU) conducts a national-level common entrance test for admission to BSc, BTech, UG Diploma, MTech, MBA, PhD courses offered at IMU campuses. IMU CET 2024 application forms will be out in April 2024 and the exam will be held in June 2024, tentatively.Bachelor's Degree of at least three years in any discipline from any recognised University. In case of applying for IMU CET MBA 2024, applicants must have a minimum of a 50 percent aggregate in their Bachelor's degree. Final year candidates can also apply for the IMU CET MBA 2024 entrance examination.

Marine Engineering is minimum of 60% marks in PCM and minimum of 50% in English in 10+2 and have qualified IMU-CET. These entrance exam is conducted by the university .Candidates under all categories must appear for the IMU's Common Entrance Test (CET) and qualify in order to be eligible for admission to this program. However, candidates with prescribed GATE / GRE Scores may be exempted from IMU's CET.The overall cutoff for IMU-CET is 13 - 881 rank.: In the case of SC/ST candidates, there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks

You have to score above 70% for getting a seat in IMU Kolkata because ther is very few seats available. The eligibility criteria is as pe University 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate in PCM and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th/12th examination.but with 70 %younhave to wait for the second list for your addmission. With 70 % in 12 th class you give IMU- CET entrance exam for scholarship and addmission .Admission to UG and PG courses is done on the basis of cut-off in IMU-CET entrance examination conducted by the university. Basically Admission criteria for B.Tech. Marine Engineering is minimum of 60% marks in PCM and minimum of 50% in English in 10+2 and have qualified IMU-CET.but with this marks you have need to qualify the university entrance exam for addmission.

The Indian Maritime University (IMU) was established as a Central University through an Act of Parliament (Act 22) in November 2008, under the aegis of the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. It is a teaching cum affiliating University, with its headquarters in Chennai and six regional campuses in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkatta and Visakhapatnam. It also has 18 affiliated institutes.These courses are offered through its four schools namely, School of Maritime Management, School of Marine Engineering & Technolgy, School of Nautical Sciences and School of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering. Admission to all the programmes is conducted through IMU CET, followed by a counselling process.
