Hi Sahiba, agriculture courses at LPU are ICAR recognised. They are very popular as well because LPU is the first private university to get an ICAR approval. The programme the LPU agriculture programme is designed with a target of holistic development of students. School of Agriculture offers programs with up-to -date curriculum designed to suit the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The laboratories of the School are world class. The dedicated faculty gives the students a hands -on training experience by assigning live projects (Agricultural work) in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. The minimum age required for enrolling in the programme is 16yrs. Merit in qualifying examination LPU NEST subject to eligibility criteria. Students may be given an option to go for a 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. There is also an option to join a partner university abroad for a semester. Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE programme to build interpersonal skills. The students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. This year the maximum salary offered to a student was 19.55 Lacs per annum while average salary was 4 .5 Lacs. The overall NIRF rating of the university is LPU is 62.

Dear Nomanjee, Yes, the B.Sc. Agriculture course of LPU is ICAR approved at present. My cousin took admission to this programme this year only. LPU is the first private university that got approval from ICAR. (I). All these accreditation are suppose to be renewed after a stipulated tenure. So there is no need to get anxious. The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR. I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. In order to infuse understanding on emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture field visits are conducted to neighboring farms, orchards and nurseries. Not only subject related education is imparted but also the professional enhancement is added by the university through the different courses like soft skills and communication skills.
