Hi Virat,
The Training and Placement Unit of the Institute is responsible for providing world class job opportunities to the undergraduate and postgraduate students after graduation for suitable jobs in the industry and various private and public sector organizations.
No institute can guarantee you placements. It's just purely based on how you utilize your abilities and skills at the right time. I would suggest you to contact the training and placement department personally for accurate numbers.
Salary is a function of various factors - i.e. (i) the institute where you have completed your B.Tech + M.Tech. e.g. a graduate from a top institute will command a higher salary. (ii) Your work experience - organization and type of work profile (iii) city - a metropolitan city will have higher salaries as compared to smaller cities and towns. (iv) Your current organization - i.e. where you will be joining - an MNC usually has higher salaries as compared to other organizations. (v) Your work profile i.e. Manager/ AVP, etc. Thus one cannot allocate a figure.
We would suggest you to design a proper resume of your qualifications and experience. Maybe you can take help of professional resume writers. Services are available through various online job sites like naukri.com, monster.com, bixee.com etc. After that register and upload your resume on these online job sites for job. These sites keep you informed about various shortlisted jobs matching your profile through e-mail. You can also do a manual search of jobs, matching your profile on these sites. Float your resume to placement consultants and acquaintance for locating job openings. You can visit career section on websites of various companies and post your resume.
We would also recommend you to explore the option of Resume Services on naukri.com . As part of this services your resume will be designed professionally as well as sent to some specified number of clients. Thus increasing your resume visibility and job prospects. We would also advise you to join a personality development and communication skills workshop, as these are very important in day to day job performance.
Hope this information helps. Please feel free to revert.
Wish you luck.

Hi priti
If you are looking for space sciences degree , IISC would be the best. IITs have their own specialized areas so it depends on what is your core interest.

Yes, you can. If you can clear GATE, then you will be called for a separate written test in the institute you have applied to. If you clear that written, you will be called for a personal interview.
