For admission to BTech-MS at IIIT Hyderabad, ranking is done separately for each board. The primary ranking criteria is the subject aggregate score as defined against each eligible category. Candidates with 90% aggregate or more in Maths in any central or state board must belong to one of the following categories:

Must have scored 90% or more aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry - applicable only for CND programme.
Must have scored 85% or more as aggregate in Maths and any one subject among History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, English Elective, Sociology - applicable only for CHD programme

In the case of a tie, the following scores (in the given order) are used to resolve the same.

No, the deemed university only considers JEE Main scores for regular admissions. There is, however, a provision for admissions based on other entrance exams, such as DASA and SPEC.
