A:
{Source: M.E./M.Tech students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:
* Campus life is great, with many clubs, sporting grounds, and facilities.
* Faculty members are generally experienced and knowledgeable.
* Research opportunities and seminars are organized regularly.
* Hostel facilities are available for girls and boys, although the condition may vary.

Cons:
* Curriculum is outdated and redundant, leading to limited job prospects.
* Placements for M.Tech (CSE) are poor, and students often struggle to find jobs.
* Teachers may lack qualifications in M.Tech and prioritize theoretical over practical learning.
* Facilities such as drinking water, canteen food, and washrooms need improvement.
* High expectations regarding grades and attendance can lead to stress.

Considering these points, while YMCA University may have some strengths, the overall experience seems to be mixed. Students may face challenges finding suitable employment due to the outdated curriculum and poor placements. However, those interested in research or wanting to gain hands-on experience may still consider attending the institution. Ultimately, it depends on individual priorities and goals.

Q:   Can I join YMCA University directly?

A:

As a piece of fact, YMCA University do not entertain direct admissions. The admissions process for YMCA University, officially known as J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology in Faridabad, includes unique eligibility requirements and entrance exams for various courses. The eligibility criteria varies between courses. For B.Tech programs, students must have completed 10+2 with a minimum aggregate and have a valid JEE Main score. For postgraduate programs such as M.Tech, candidates must have a relevant B.E./B.Tech degree with a minimum aggregate and a valid GATE score. Q:   Is YMCA University good for M.Sc.?

A:
{Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've gathered:

* Infrastructure: The university has a good infrastructure, with well-equipped laboratories, comfortable classrooms, and a decent library.
* Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. They guide students not just in academics but also for career growth and entrances like GATE or CSIR NET.
* Course Curriculum: The curriculum is relevant, and the syllabus is designed well. However, some students felt that it could be more challenging.
* Examinations: Semester exams are considered moderate to difficult, but with good preparation, students can achieve good grades.
* Placement: While most students praised the placement record for B.Tech and MBA students, the situation was different for M.Sc. students. About 30% of students got placed, but mostly in low-paying jobs.
* Research Opportunities: Unfortunately, internships were not available in the M.Sc. program.
* Career Growth: Although the placement scenario wasn't ideal, students believed that the quality education and research opportunities prepared them well for further studies or careers.

In summary, while YMCA University has its strengths, particularly in terms of infrastructure and faculty, the M.Sc. programme seems to have limitations in terms of placement and research opportunities. It's essential for aspiring students to weigh these factors carefully when considering the university for their higher education.

Please note that these observations are based on a compilation of students' and alumni's reviews and might not represent the entire experience.

Review of J. C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA.
Placements: The placement opportunity is just average. Reality is, almost no companies came for the placement on the campus, and few companies hire well-skilled students only. Companies visited are Toonz India, etc., and they offer a very high package for placement as fresher. But you have to learn skills on your own.
Infrastructure: The hostel condition is very bad from my experience. Most of the students eat food outside the mess, and they struggle even to meet the basic needs in the hostel. In the hostel premise, they don't have any facility, and they close the hostel after 6 pm, so you have to skip classes for outside work.
Faculty: The faculty staff is just average; they don't have that good knowledge, even still you have to learn other than the curriculum. The course does not include any industrial program. Exams are mainly based on teaching in the class and referred textbooks. You have to attend all the classes to get good marks.

Review of J. C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA.
Placements: To be honest, there are almost no placement opportunities in this particular course. You have to work as an intern or opt for higher education. Most of the students placed are in irrelevant fields to the course. If you want placement, then you have to learn skills outside the curriculum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good as of now as they are newly added. Most of the labs are well-equipped, and most of the area is recently developed. The classroom size is quite large. They have both boys' and girls' hostels, but students still take flats/PGs outside the college.
Faculty: The teaching staff is newly appointed; only a few of them have good teaching experience, and most of the staff are Ph.D. scholars. The exams happen in sessionals and end semesters. The average of two sessionals + end sem exam gives the total score. You have to score a minimum of 10 in sessionals and 30 in end semesters to pass.

    Very bad for animation B.Sc.
Placements: The average placement in our course is below average. Hardly 30–40% of students were placed in our batch. There are very few placement opportunities coming on campus. One needs to work hard and find placement off campus. The placement is bad in a particular branch only.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is average the internet facility is not provided all over the campus. The Wi-Fi is broken at some places. The labs also do not have proper equipment, so the college needs to improve this. The mess food is also of average quality.
Faculty: The teachers here are very strict and always rude with students. There is also an issue with attendance; teachers cancel the class and those lectures go missing. The exams are of moderate level here still due to hard-checking students who score low marks in the exam.

The campus crowd is very bad.
Placements: Approximately 60% of the students successfully secure placements in their final year. Renowned companies like Toonz Animation and Penta Media actively participate in the placement process. However, the percentage of students obtaining internships is considerably low, with only around 10% being able to secure one. The highest package offered during placements was approximately 8lpa.
Infrastructure: The college is equipped with various facilities within its premises, including separate reading rooms in each building. Additionally, there are separate hostels for male and female students, offering room sharing options and dormitories. Both hostels provide a large mess facility for meals five times a day, as well as a night kitchen.
Faculty: The faculty members possess extensive education and a majority of them have prior experience in the teaching industry. The college enforces a strict 75% attendance policy, failure to comply with which will result in the inability to sit for the end semester examination. The curriculum offers a wide range of electives and additional subjects, along with a collaborative industrial program with various companies.

Good college and very nice faculty members.
Placements: Very few companies came during the placement year. Most of that is irrelevant to the course. If you want a good job, then you have to look outside the campus. The highest package offered by the companies is about 5 LPAs, but most of the students opt for higher education.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are very bad. They don't even have a good water purification system and you have to rely on outside food because the hostel mess quality is very bad. The college premises have a sports field and an indoor activity stadium for indoor events.
Faculty: Most of the faculty are very supportive, and they even help you if you want to publish a research paper. If you want to score good marks, then you have to attend class regularly because the MOT of the question came from what was taught in the class. You can pass the subject if you get 40% marks in it.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

    A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
