If you compare placements with the fee, you will not be much happy. But I know some seniors here who have started their own start-ups.
So you will learn a lot of things here.

Dear Bharath,
Contact the university in person for fee details. Their website doesn't talk about any fee details. You have universities like LPU, that have made education affordable for all the students by offering them handsome scholarships on the basis of 12th marks, JEE marks, etc. You should try for admission there too.
Best of luck.

Let me give few reasons of why you should not join Acharya Mechatronics or Mechatronics at all in VTU. Acharya is doing pretty well in placements. This year itself more than 350 students got placed (most of those are in IT companies). Its big achievement for private state level institute but no core mechatronics company visited the campus (I wonder is there any pure mechatronics company). Very few mechanical companies visited campus and most of those companies were allowing mechatronics student to appear test & interviews. I thing so there is no point in joining mechatronics because at the end of the day you will be working in mechanical or may be in ECE.
