The passing marks for Karnataka University varies from one course to another. It also varies every year as the cutoff depends upon factors like number of candidates, the highest marks in the exam, seat intake, etc. In 2021, Karnataka PGCET cutoff for MBA admission was 7905, which was competitive than 2020 (21232). However, for MCA, Karnatak University PGCET cutoff (overall) dropped from 2784 in 2021 to 4128 in 2022.

For MBA admission, candidates must have a minimum Karnataka PGCET percentage of 50% for general category candidates and 45% for SC, ST, and Category-I candidates in Karnataka.Qualifications for admission to the MBA programme via the Karnataka PGCET comprise:Qualification Degree: Students may enroll in the full-time MBA programme provided they have successfully completed a bachelor's degree course, regardless of their academic discipline. The minimum course length for the qualifying degree programme must be three years, or the equivalent.Aggregate Score: The marks from every subject, including language classes from all three years of the degree program, must be used to compute the aggregate score. Candidates in reserved categories, such as SC, ST, and Karnataka candidates in Category 1, are eligible for a five percent score concession. Candidates in unreserved categories are required to receive a minimum aggregate score of fifty percent. Such candidates need to have at least a 45% overall cumulative score across all subjects.Every year, the Karnataka PGCET is a state-level entrance exam.
