Yes, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences shortlist candidates for MBA course based on KMAT score. KMAT Karnataka or Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is conducted by the Karnataka Post Graduate Private Colleges' Association (KPPGCA) for admission to MBA course. Shortlisted aspirants are called for PI round. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. A pass in Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 60% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics and with one of the following subjects: Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies or pass in Class 12 Vocational stream (with the subjects General Machinist, Electrical Machines and Appliances, Electronic Equipments, Draughtsman Civil, Auto Mechanic, Textile Technology, etc.) with any of the Engineering related subjects, namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with average aggregate of 50% put together is required to apply for the BTech course. Additionally, candidates must pass Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or pass in Class 12 or equivalent examination in the first attempt with at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Zoology/ Botany/ Computer Science (provided the candidate has not studied Mathematics in Class 12) to apply for BTech Biotechnology/ Food Processing Technology.

The university offers over 50 diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses under its four constituent schools in Engineering & Technology, School of Agriculture, School of Science, Arts, Media & Management. The courses, include BTech, BA, BSc at UG, M.Tech and MCA at PG level. The university also offers PhD at the doctoral level. Candidates who have completed Class 12 can apply for UG courses. Karunya University offers four-year BTech course divided into eight semesters through the School of Engineering & Technology in 33 specialisations, namely Aerospace, Civil, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Electronics & Computer, Electronics & Communication, etc. Candidates after completing Class 12 can apply for any of the BTech specialisations. Yes, the selection to BSc (Hons) is based on Karunya Entrance Exam (KEE) conducted by the university and Class 12 score. Candidates must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or PCB or PCMB or Agriculture with at least 50% aggregate to apply for the BSc (Hons) course. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent under vocational stream and studied Biology and Agricultural Practices as Vocational Subjects including theory and practical with 50% aggregate can also apply.
