At the time of admission candidates will have to choose their desired specialisation and the affiliated college that they want to take admission in.

In addition to that Kashmir University has multiple affiliated colleges that provide admission in the BTech programme. Therefore, candidates taking admission into the university or any affiliated college will not face any problem if they have a valid JEE Main score.

Out of all the affiliated colleges, SSM College of Engineering offers the most amount of BTech seats. Out of the 1025 seats offered by Kashmir University 720 seats are offered by SSM College of Engineering. Its admission process is also different as the admission in the university take place through the JKCET entrance exams, whereas, admission into other colleges of Kashmir University take place through the JEE Mains entrance exam.
