School of Distance Education, University of Kerala has a well-supported campus with facilities like The library has more than 23,000 books covering a wide range of subjects. Besides catering the academic needs of the students, distant learners and the faculty members, the library also has profound collection of research journals, UGC NET & JRF guides, Civil Service Exam materials and previous question papers. Library automation is done using Lib Soft software which facilitates all in-house operations of the library. The library currently subscribes to more than 15 journals of various subject fields. The University has also recognised the SDE Library as a Research Centre for the doctoral researchers in various subject areas. Though the library is primarily meant for the SDE students and faculty members only. Library remains open from 10 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. on all working days. However keeping in view of the needs of the Students, the library is kept open beyond normal days/hours and timings are notified on the Library Notice Board. Additionally, it has been rated 3.71 for infrastructure by the verified students on Shiksha platform.

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in the subject chosen for MSc specialisation become eligible for admission. In addition, the degree must be issued by a recognised university or authority. Furthermore, it is also crucial that the applicant hold the relevant documents as proof of eligibility for verification purposes. Below are the details for Kerala University MSc eligibility:Graduates who have passed the qualifying examination in CBCS Pattern-2013 admission onwards (BSc in relevant subjects) with at least 5.5 CGPA out of 10 (2.2 CGPA out of 4 for graduates who have passed qualifying examination in CBCS Pattern-prior to 2013) can apply for Kerala University MSc.Graduates who have passed qualifying examination (BSc) in annual scheme/ other pattern with at least 55% aggregate can also apply.

Yes, admission to the postgraduate-level course is based on a common entrance exam conducted by the university. It is conducted by CSSAC. Candidates seeking admission must take the test as re-examination is not carried out under any circumstances. Kerala University PG Entrance Exam response sheets are marked either digitally or by a examiners panel approved by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor. The type of questions asked in the exams are multiple choice types. Additionally, negative marking is also applicable, and hence, 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.

No, the fee can be paid via online mode only. A payment through demand draft, cheque, chalan, etc. is not accepted. Candidates can make a payment through credit card/debit card/net banking. Aspirants shall ensure that they pay the application fees before the due date or else their application form is treated as incomplete. Moreover, candidates shall keep the payment receipt with them for future reference. Candidates need to pay an application fee of INR 700 for General/ SEBC (INR 400 for SC/ ST).
