{Source: MBBS students & alumni}Effectiveness of Placement Cell for MBBS Programs at KGMUBased on the reviews and testimonials of students and alumni, here's what emerges regarding the placement cell at King George's Medical University (KGMU):* No formal Placement Cell: According to multiple students, there is no official placement cell at KGMU, unlike other institutions. Instead, students rely on external sources, such as government and private organizations, to secure employment.* Internship Opportunities: While there may not be a formal placement cell, the university does offer internship opportunities to its students. Most students reported completing their internships within the institution, gaining valuable hands-on experience.* Job Prospects: Alumni and current students mentioned that nearly all graduates receive job offers, mostly in government hospitals or postgraduate programs. Salaries reportedly range from INR50,000 to INR93,000 per month, depending on the organisation and role.* Private Job Options: Some students pursued private job opportunities, and those who did mentioned getting placed quickly. Others chose to pursue further education, such as Master's or Doctoral programs. It appears that while KGMU does not have a traditional placement cell, its students still enjoy strong job prospects and internship opportunities, thanks largely to the university's reputation and networking connections.
