Q: How to apply for the MSc programme at Kota University?
A:
Kota University provides a two-year, four-semester full-time Master of Science (MSc) programme. Admission to the MSc programme at Kota University is determined by the candidate's performance on their most recent qualifying exam. Except for Zoology and Wildlife Science, all specialisations have the same minimum score requirements. The university furthermore provides MSc programme through its affiliated colleges. Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to get admission to MSc course:
Eligibility: B.Sc. In the relevant stream with a minimum 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for M.Sc. Zoology & Wild Life Science) for General category candidates of Rajasthan and 60% aggregate for other state candidates
Selection: Merit-based

M.Sc in wildlife science is a two-year full-time curriculum having four semesters since its inception. There are about 20 seats in the University of Kota. The eligibility criteria for this course is as under:
Eligibility criteria: Bachelor's degree in Science/ Medical Science/ Engineering/ Veterinary Science/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Pharmacy/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications or a degree recognized as equivalent thereof should have studied in the science stream at higher secondary or other equivalent board. The minimum aggregate marks in Bachelor's degree recognized by UGC for unreserved category (UR/Gen) is 55% and for SC/ST/OBC/SOBC: Minimum Pass Marks. For other State: 60%. The admission is based on merit.
Fee per annum: Rs 18000.

It is a very good and affordable university.
Placements: The placement cell moderately conducts placement drives for different jobs for different courses like chemistry, microbiology and biotechnology. Students didn't get high salary packages, but they got average salary packages of around 3 LPA to 6 LPA. Students of M.Sc in chemistry got placed in reputed companies like Cipla, Chambal Fertilisers, Sun Pharmaceuticals, etc., with good salary packages.
Infrastructure: Students are provided with low-budget hostel utilities. A huge hostel building is set up on the campus, which has a good mess facility. The hostel fee is Rs. 13,000 per annum. The mess charges are taken separately as per your meal. The mess is just 200 meters apart from academic buildings.
Faculty: The main reason behind choosing this university is its faculty team. Faculty members are very well efficient in their respective frontiers. They all have higher degrees such as M.Phil, PhDs, etc. Faculty members are always ready to guide us in our career path in the right way.
Other: The fee is low here, which is the best reason for me to choose this university. The crowd is very good. The connectivity between students of different programs/courses is very well and also very well with the teachers.

Placements: After completing the studies, companies come to the university and according to the placement qualification of the students. Many different companies take the interview of the students and make selections. The selection process is very simple.
Infrastructure: The University of Kotak is near Kabir circle, MS Marg, Kotak (Rajasthan) 324 005, INDIA. The campus is situated in 1600 square metres area.
The government of Rajasthan established this campus. The campus has good views. There is an excellent infrastructure of the building. Every class is a smart class. The labs are advanced and well furnished. There is a big playground for games. There is an auditorium for playing indoor games. The quality of the food in the canteen is good. The government provides the scholarship to the students.
Faculty: The University of Kotak is a public university in Kotak, Rajasthan, India. It was established with the agreement of the governor of Rajasthan and recognised by the UGC in 2003 under the state act. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The teachers are very helpful, and their nature toward students are gentle. They use modern methods of teaching. All teachers are government servants and are selected by tough competition.

Best university in the area.
Placements: Placement cell is always active to get placed their students in a good and well-known company in all frontiers. Many students get placed in sun pharmaceuticals, Cipla, etc. On a good package, the internship and placement is totally based on your percentage.
Infrastructure: Kotak university has a clean campus with advanced infrastructure. It has separate buildings for all different courses and administration. Academic buildings have advanced labs and well organised classrooms. Entire campus is facilitated with Wi-Fi all the time. There is separate hostels for girls and boys with clean food mess facility. Time to time feedback is taken from the students about the management.
Faculty: This is a government university with well-qualified faculty. Each Faculty member has their own expertise. They all have various higher degrees like M.sc/M.phil/P.hd etc. Or doctorates from reputed institutes of India. They are always ready to solve the problems of their students. Faculty members conducted theory classes and practical classes from time to time. Exams are taken twice in a year by semester system in examination each subject is consist of maximum marks which is 70.

Our college has necessary equipment.
Placements: The placements will be according to the branch. As B.Arch had very less demand in our country, and the graph of placements in our course was very low. Other branches like CSE, ECE, will get a minimum of 30 LPA. In the aspects of placements, our college actively encourages the students and gives the best placements for the students.
Faculty: The quality of teaching was very good. The professors were knowledgeable. Curriculum gets updated. Every branch gets satisfactory facilities and knowledge. Our professors were very patient that they can't leave any student unanswered. But our course was B.Arch. It was very difficult and students will have a lot of work load.
Other: I would recommend this college to my upcoming juniors, as I want them to witness one of the best graduation life. I am sure if students select this college. Students will return with a lot of knowledge and experiences which will help students in further steps of the future. I will complete graduation this year. I am feeling grateful to be a part of this college. That friendly vibe I get from students and faculty is impressive. The faculty, management staff feels at home. Rourkela was one of the rich cultured cities. Students can witness the best culture of India.

After completing the studies, companies come to the university.
Placements: About 20% of students are placed from this college. The highest and the lowest salary package all depends on our performance in the college. Most of the students from my college to pursue M.Sc chemistry.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi but have good labs, classrooms and a library is also available for the students. It is better to live outside the college hostel because their is no facitiy in it. There are no good sports activities and games activities. The canteen of the college was not so bad and the environment of this place is worth it.
Faculty: The teachers were so qualified and knowledgeable. Almost all of them are done with their graduation from high-class colleges. Their teaching quality was also attractive. I think that this course is curriculum relevant. The teachers are so helpful in making any project or assignment.
Other: Many students are studying at our university. Almost 70% of them get a good percentage, but there are no placements in our college. All students are willing to have a placement cell. University should have to tie-up with reputed companies due to which they visit here for recruitments, and students will be selected.
