LPU is a good university and IITs are also very good. Both have their own reputation. IITs like IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, and others are one of the best public/government colleges that are present in India and LPU is one of the best private universities present in India. IITs are the best public/government institutes offering the best education in the Engineering stream. Whereas LPU is the best private university for offering some of the best courses in many streams like Management, Engineering, and others. Hence, both are incomparable. The ultimate decision lies on the students as to what makes a university or college best for him/her.

The worthiness of CAT percentile depends on the MBA college you want to take admission into. For a Tier 1 B-School, 95 + percentile is a good score, whereas for a Tier 2 institute, 80-90 percentile is a good score. Admission cut offs of the Iims are always 95 percentile and above.

CAT score is the total marks a candidate receives out of the maximum marks, calculated by subtracting the marks of incorrect answers from the marks of correct answers. For every correct answer, +3 is given to the candidates, for every incorrect -1 is deducted from the overall score. Apart from this, a candidate's rank is calculated by normalizing the scores of all candidates and placing them on a common scale based on the difficulty and attempts of the candidates. It is important to understand the difference between CAT score and CAT percentile because IIMs and all MBA colleges in India select candidates on the basis of their CAT and other MBA related exam percentiles and not score.

The CAT percentile is referred to as the rank of a candidate against the rest of the test takers. The percentile indicates the total percentage of candidates who scored less than or equal to a particular candidate in CAT. 

Suppose,1,000 people take an exam and you bag the top rank, which means 999 candidates scored less than you. Then your CAT percentile will be 999/1000*100 = 99.9.

IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025 (9 am - 12 noon). The exam will have two mandatory parts. The computer-based Part A and offline-based Part B.

The UCEED 2025 admission portal is uceed.iitb.ac.in. The portal will contain all the important updates about the UCEED 2025 exam, including information brochure, eligibility criteria, syllabus, candidate portal, and useful resources.

Among resources the candidate can download include - previous years question and answer keys.  

The online application forms for UCEED 2025 are open from October 1-31, 2024. With late fees, applications will be accepted till November 8, 2024.
