MNLU Mumbai admits students based solely on their performance in the entrance examination. Those seeking admission to the UG programme at MNLU Mumbai must take the CLAT, while those seeking admission to the PG programme must take the CLAT PG. For the LLM programme a candidate's eligibility for admission to the LLM programme is determined by their performance on the CLAT as well as the LLB with a 50% score. In order to register for the CLAT, candidates need to visit the official CLAT website. Out of the 50 seats available, there are 10 supernumerary seats under the Foreign National / NRI / NRI Sponsored category and 2 seats reserved for Jammu & Kashmir permanent residents.

The Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai placements are not as good as compared to other colleges.If we see recent year placement of the MNLU college (for the year 2023), the average package was around 4-9 LPA and the highest package was around 10 LPA. 10 students out of 60 got placed and received the package of 16 LPA of the batch who will graduate in 2024 . 75 % of student get placed through college every year.So the placement are getting better every year

Therefore, candidates who have scored 60% in Class 12th are eligible to apply for the B.A. L.L.B. (Hons.) program at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. However, admission to the undergraduate program, which includes the five-year integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) program, shall be held through Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted by Consortium of NLUs on merit basis.

According to this statistic, 75% of students were placed through college placement programs.Tata Institute of Social Science places 64 students with a salary package of 20 Lacs per year and above. Additionally, 27 students received PPO offers. In TISS, the highest package was 49LPA, while the average package was 27.22LPA and the medium package was around 25LPA.
