To get a seat in Mangalore University, candidates must appear for the entrance test PGCET conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority. Admission is based on the entrance test score. Each programme offered at Mangalore University can have a slightly different criteria. 

Students belonging to the C/ST category can apply for National Scholarship Portal and Public Financial Management System (PFMS) scholarships from Mangalore University. And, on top of that, students whose family yearly income is less than Rs 2.50 Lacs can be financially supported by the University to study.

Important dates for MBA/PGDM admissions at Mangalore University comprise the last date for application towards KMAT application form for Session 2, which is November 10, 2024; Karnataka PGCET options entry started and will go on till November 11, 2024. Karnataka PGCET mock seat allotment results will be released on November 11 followed by the option to edit options mid-November; the first round of allotment results are expected in the last week of November.

Mangalore University offers 123 seats in its MBA/PGDM programs. There are a total of 1454 seats in affiliated institutes and among these the names include St. Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology that holds 240 seats, Saroj Educational Group with 300 seats, Srinivas Institute of Management Studies holding 120 seats, and A.J. Institute of Management with 180 seats.

Mangalore University offers UG courses across various streams such as Commerce, Arts, Management, and others. The fee structure of the UG courses lies between INR 1,100 - INR 4,000 for the programme. The fee mentioned is the only tuition fees and other fee such as registration fee, enrolment fee, course fee, library fee, are not included in the fee structure.
