The placements are going on for the academic year 2022-2023. As per the latest report, the University recorded 92.9% placements for its Faculty of Technology batch 2023 so far. Earlier, the University recorded 75.3% placements during the 2022 placement drive. Going back to 2021 placements, the University recorded 74.6% placements for its Faculty of Technology batch 2021. Manipal University is well known for its BTech placements. It offers good placements every year for BTech course, especially the CSE branch. The University attracted over 220 recruiters for its 2024 placement session who offered a variety of job roles to the students across sectors, such as BFSI, IT, Education, FMCG, Consulting, and E-Commerce, etc. The top recruiters of Manipal University in 2024 included Ericsson, EY, Oracle, Flipkart, Adobe, Philips, Adani Group, Amazon, IBM, Samsung, SAP Labs, BOSCH India, Boeing, L&T, Cisco, Cipla, Microsoft, etc. These recruiters placed students in various sectors and offered new-age job profiles.

The placements are ongoing for the academic year 2022-2023. As of now, the University recorded 98.6% placements for the Computer Science batch 2023 so far. The highest package was also offered to the students of the Computer Science branch, which stood at INR 54.75 LPA. Candidates were able to check the list of MET 2023 exam cities online at manipal.edu. The candidates were able to select their choice of exam city from the list while filling out the MET 2023 application form. Based on the preferences and seat availability, the allotment of MET 2023 exam centres was done. However, it was to be noted that due to circumstances, the candidates had the possibility to not be allotted a centre in their first preference. 

Candidates are advised to leave their personal belongings with their accompanying parents/guardians to the MET exam centre. However, if the candidate is alone, they can request the authorities at the exam centre to keep their belongings during the entrance examination. But the authorities will not be held responsible for any loss of belongings. Therefore, the candidates are advised to not bring any expensive belongings to the MET exam centres. 

For 2022, cut off was 63078 for the General category candidates in All India quota for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) courses at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, Manipal Academy of Higher Education. NEET cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Out of 78 MD/ MS graduates, 67 were placed during Kasturba Medical College Mangalore placements 2021. This makes the placement rate almost 86%. Earlier, 41 out of 51 MD/ MS students were placed during the 2020 placement session, which means 80% of students were placed.According to the report,  192 MBBS and 122 MD/MS students were placed during  placements 2022. The median package offered to MBBS and MD/MS students stood at INR 8.4 LPA and INR 15.6 LPA,  respectively.

It depends on which exams you've failed. If it's sessional exams, you can make up for it in the coming sessionals, anyway you just need 35% to qualify for final exams.If you've failed final university exams, then you will have to write supplementary exams which are conducted roughly a month and a half after the university exams. If you pass those, you can go on to second year, otherwise you'll have to repeat first year.If it's just your first sessional exams, don't worry about it at all. Most people fail ‘at least’ one subject in their first sessionals.
