Q:   Is Mewar University good for B.E. / B.Tech?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is Mewar University good for B.E./B.Tech?

Based on student reviews and feedback, here are some mixed opinions about Mewar University's B.E./B.Tech program:

* Placement Record: The placement record is somewhat disappointing, with only 1-2% of students getting placed annually. The highest package offered is around INR4 lakh, and the average package is around INR2 lakh.
* Teaching Quality: Some students appreciate the teaching quality, saying that teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. Others feel that some professors are not well-qualified or skilled in explaining complex topics.
* Curriculum Relevance: Most students agree that the course curriculum is relevant and prepares them for the industry. However, some feel that it's not updated regularly and doesn't cover recent technological advancements.
* Infrastructure: The university's infrastructure is generally considered good, with modern classrooms, libraries, and recreational facilities. However, some students complain about the hostel food being mediocre.
* Internship Opportunities: While some students got internship opportunities, others report that these were mostly unpaid or took place within the university itself, without providing meaningful industrial exposure.
* Job Prospects: Unfortunately, many students feel that the university does not provide adequate placement opportunities, especially in technical fields. Even seniors struggle to secure jobs despite having high GPAs.

Overall, while Mewar University seems to have its strengths in terms of infrastructure and teaching quality, the placement record and job prospects leave much to be desired. Students considering this institution for their B.E./B.Tech education should weigh these factors carefully before making a decision.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) - Batch of 2023
3.2
2Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
A comprehensive review of Mewar University.
Placements: I am from the B.Pharma course. Approximately 40% of the students were placed. Packages range from 3 to 8 LPA, with the average package remaining 5 LPA. The university claims that top companies like Sun Pharma and Cipla recruit here. Top roles are pharmacist, analyst.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure here is very good. Modern smart classrooms are present here, and labs are good, but they need a little modification in equipment. Wi-Fi facility is available here, and the library is good as well, containing a vast number of books. Hostel facilities are somehow good, average we can say. There are different types of hostels, and there are 4 students living in a single room. Some hostels have attached bathrooms, and some do not. The mess is good compared to other colleges, and food quality is also good. Different types of canteens are also present here. A very big hospital of the university is also available here. Sports and games are of vast types.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful enough and are approachable. They are qualified enough, but some need a little betterment to improve their teaching quality. The course curriculum is relevant, and students have to work hard by themselves to prepare for industries. Here, you will get the knowledge to pass your examinations with good marks. For extra knowledge, you have to work hard enough. Semester exams are moderate—not so tough, not so easy. The pass percentage is 90%.
Other: I am doing B.Pharma here, and my batch contains around 100 students. I chose this course because it has a very vast scope right now. The things I really want to improve are a better teaching staff for the particular course and well-equipped labs. Events usually happen here, and fests are also organized. The campus crowd is good—not too much, friendly students. The surroundings are not good if we look outside the campus, but inside the campus, it is very beautiful. Many scholarships are available here, like MOF, and extracurricular activities are present here.

Absolutely the worst college.
Placements: Mostly rural area students are placed in my course. Anyone can take admission with a 10+2 marksheet, and it's a (Hons.) course, so it takes 4 years to complete. There are major 12 companies which provide jobs on an interview basis. They provide 10 percent placement.
Infrastructure: There are more than 1200 staff members in the university. All are well trained and experienced in their field. The infrastructure was very good according to our region. All sorts of labs and libraries are available for each particular subject. The food was normal in taste.
Faculty: The examination department was not that aware of the general problems faced by students. The curriculum was not that good for a student to be industry ready. The exams are very easy (for me). Not all students get passed easily; generally, 10 percent of the whole class is getting back.
Other: My big brother told me to choose this course. I am not satisfied with this course at all. The infrastructure was very good.

Placements is poor, infrastructure is below avg. Faculties are dissatisfying.
Placements: The number/percentage of students placed is not revealed officially. The highest placement is 18 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA, according to college hoardings, which do not represent on-campus placements. No good companies visit the campus, not even the mass recruiters.
Infrastructure: Labs are there but lack equipment. Wi-Fi is available everywhere on the campus, but the classrooms are not well-equipped. The library is good enough but could be better. Food quality in the mess is poor, and they do not take action on complaints. Sometimes there are water issues in the hostel, reflecting absolutely poor management. The canteen was recently inaugurated after the previous one was turned into a mess.
Faculty: Lack of well-qualified teachers and very few are experienced. The course curriculum is good; it does make you industry-ready if you work hard yourself, as you will get zero input from your teachers. Semester exams are not that hard. The passing percentage is 40%.
Other: Only two events in a year: one is Uni-Fest and the other is Fresher's. Mini events keep on happening in the seminar hall, which is again too small to accommodate even a single batch.

The college had decent infrastructure and average placements.
Placements: Mewar University offers decent placement opportunities to its students. Around 30-40% of the students get placed at this college. The average package offered at this college was between 3-4 LPA. Some of the local companies visit our college for the placements.
Infrastructure: This college had a decent infrastructure for the MCA college. The college has Wi-Fi, labs, a library, canteen, classrooms, sports etc. Facilities were available for the students. The hostel facility was available for the students. Mess and canteen food was good to eat.
Faculty: The faculty offered at this college was helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of Mewar University was average. The course curriculum was relevant and was old. It makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams of this college were not hard to pass.

Overall, our college is not so good for securing a job, but it is good for obtaining only a degree.
Placements: Only 1-2 percent of students are placed in our college every year, with very low packages. The highest package offered in our college is a maximum of four Lacs only, and the average package is two Lacs. Recruiting companies for our course are also not good enough in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, but the mess food is the worst. Wi-Fi is available everywhere in the college. The library and classrooms are average. Sports activities do not happen according to plan; only a few students have benefited, while the rest have not had chances.
Faculty: Teachers are not good enough, and their teaching methods are also not good. Sometimes language also matters as they are not good enough to explain things in class. Exams are easy; questions are given by teachers before the exam that appear in the actual exam. There are no rules and regulations during exams.

This is best for those student who are not regular.
Placements: The college's placement record is quite disappointing due to poor placement opportunities. The highest package offered is around 6 lakhs, the lowest package is 3 lakhs, and the average package ranges from 4 to 5 lakhs. Some of the top companies that visit the campus include Wipro, Deloitte, Infosys, and others. However, the course itself does not offer many job roles.
Infrastructure: The college and hostel infrastructure, along with the department, is commendable. The food at the hostel is also better compared to other hostels, although occasionally the taste can be extremely unpleasant. The meals prepared are not always favored by the students.
Faculty: Some teachers are highly supportive, while others may lack qualifications and knowledge. This course holds great relevance and prepares students for the industry. The semester exam is challenging, with a minimum passing percentage of 40 required in all engineering branches.
