Good placement, frequent senior interaction, about hostel, college and fest.
Placements: 91.6% of students got placement in my branch. The highest- 18lakhs the lowest-5 -6lakhs Average- 8.9lakhs Top recruiting companies are TATA STEEL, JSW STEEL, VEDANTA etc. 25-30% of students got internship in my branch in companies like TATA STEEL, TCS etc. Because of internship students gets the idea about their interviews and work loads.
Infrastructure: A room is provided which is being shared by 3 students with average Wi-Fi facility of BSNL Network. Mess food is much better than other NITS. Badminton court, volleyball court, and basketball court is there. Every year students got chance for selection in Inter NIT sports game. Medical unit is also provided for students, professors and staffs. A Central library is also provided and we can borrow any type of engineering books with free of cost for 6 months.
Faculty: Teachers and professors are well qualified as they provide every kind of knowledge to us in order to get best placement. Some of them are also NITIAN and IITIAN. Semester exams are very easy to score in 1st year and it becomes little bit tough onwards 2nd year as we also have to focus on some other activities like club etc.
Other: I chose this course because my father also belonged to mental and materials background. Because of my father I also got interested in this field. I will do coding with this branch. There are two fest in our college in the month of February and March. AROHAN, RECTASY. Extracurricular includes clubs of every type and sports game.

NIT Durgapur is the best choice you can make; it provides a good campus life and good faculty member
Placements: About 90% of the total who SAT for the place were recruited by the company. The average package is 8.83 LPA, and the highest package was around 19 LPA. Top recruiters include local companies like Tata Steel, Vedanta, Hindalco, Visa Steel, and JSW Steel Ltd. Additionally, some non-core companies also hire, such as OYO, Uber, TCS, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: The course basically focuses on metallurgical extraction, physical metallurgy, corrosion science and engineering. Currently, in this course, fifteen highly qualified and dedicated faculty members are serving. Classes are all good, and all needed facilities are provided. The library, which has plenty of books, also has a reading area, and Wi-Fi is available too. Hostels are also very good, and the food provided there is pretty good and eatable.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and all the faculty members are there to solve your doubts. There are fifteen highly qualified and dedicated faculty members, and the quality of teaching by the teachers is decent. The course definitely makes the student industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate in level; a one-week study before the exam can help you score good marks, with passing marks set at 35 out of 100.
Other: I chose this course because I found it interesting, and I had never planned to get into the teaching field. So, metallurgy was the good choice I made. All the fests that happen on our campus, like Aarohan and Tech fests, are good, and everyone enjoys them.

It is a good college for placements.
Placements: The campus features a strong placement record, making it a hub for engineering students aspiring for success. I am from the metallurgy branch. This branch is new in NIT Durgapur. Internships at INTDGP are valuable, with strong industry connections offering opportunities in top companies in it. Above 89% of students got placed. Top companies like Tata Steel, etc., visit the college.
Infrastructure: All facilities are good. Wi-Fi and labs are available. Hostel facilities are good. The mess is nice and provides tasty food. Facilities for sports are a basketball court and a cricket court. All games are available. A medical unit is present in our college. The mess in NITDGP has good culinary expertise providing different options though standard. The food is healthy.
Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful. They always clarify students' doubts. It is a little bit difficult to pass the semester. The pass percentage is 35%. Many students are seen practicing a great deal of training, solving coding contests, and undertaking interviews to get high-responsibility and high-paying jobs in the industry of metals.
Other: Fests are held well. Scholarships are available, and if students are applicable can apply. NIT Durgapur offers a vibrant campus life and blends academic excellence with extracurricular activities.

NIT Durgapur was like heaven For B.Tech students.
Placements: I am now a second-year undergraduate student at NIT Durgapur, so I'm perfect to give this answer. In 2022, pass out student placements. The percentage was 90.06%; it's really amazing for us, and it seems to be where all the students are placed, which is great for studying here. The average package was INR 5.73 LPA, the highest was INR 18.9 LPA, and the median was INR 8.83 LPA. Something around this is such a motivation for us.
Infrastructure: From the point of view of infrastructure, hostels are world-class. You can see Hall 14 (the boys hostel). Dr. B. R. Ambed Kar Hall of Residence was totally amazing. 12 floors, 1260 seated; all the first-year students are living there, and we second-year students are now in this hostel. The class infrastructure is also very well called Nab-New Academic Building (where classes are going on). All students are going to this building for classes from first-year to second- and final-year students in Mab, called the Main Academic Building, and the girls hostel is also awesome. You can search hall 13 of NIT Durgapur on YouTube to find such a beautiful hostel where girls are staying. So rate it 9/10 in terms of infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They can provide all types of courses related to slides or notes where you can learn the fundamentals to advanced. In the first year, there are 8 sections A–H, with people divided into around 117 sections. Each section has good staff to manage all things, and the good staff are there; they are very precious for study. I am extremely fortunate to have been given the opportunity to study here. In terms of rating, rate it 10/10.
Other: In NIT Durgapur, I chose this course because it is good for me. I know DSP is near NIT, so if I get DSP, it is good stuff for me. That's why I chose NIT. It was a very good college in terms of placement and staff. There was a very two-cultural event called Rectasy and Aarohan. This was what incredible campus life was like. Its here 183 acres, most campus life is good enough, and the hostel mess is also good but manageable.

The memorable college life .
Placements: More than 90 percent of students were placed in my course. The highest, lowest, and above-average package depends on whether the student chooses to join IT or the core. Most of the students got internships from my college, and the companies are TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, but the wi-fi is good, and the classrooms are big and clean, and the campus is also green and big. The library is very good for me to study with my friends there. The quality of facilities in my hostel is good; the electricity is good; the medical facilities are average; and the sports and games facilities are good here.
Faculty: There are many helpful teachers here, and they are highly qualified too. Their teaching quality is engaging too. For my course, the curriculum is pretty relevant, and yes, we are prepared to get industry-ready. The semester exams are quite difficult here, and we have to hustle hard to get a good CGPA.
Other: I chose this college because I have an interest in geology and metals, and the best thing about my course is that it is fully related to industrial work, where we have to work in fields. Things can always be better in everything, so in my course too. The events are organized by different college clubs here, and there are scholarship facilities for students related to their respective backgrounds.
