This college is very good for the B.tech student because of placement, faculty, extracurriculars.
Placements: There are different company coming for placement but very few companies are allowed to take part M.Tech student, means placement for M.Tech students are very less. But you can easily complete your master degree with others exam preparation like GATE IES, Jen.
Infrastructure: National institute of technology hamirpur Himachal Pradesh is one of the most beautiful campus in all over india. Infrastructure of the college is very good. Hostels facilities for boys and girls are excellent, separate one seater room for M.Tech student.
Faculty: Teacher are very helpful expect for some. Some teachers are very experienced with 20-30 year of experience, Student-faculty ratio depends on the branch selected by student, some branches have number of facilities but some have less faculty members.

One of the best campuses in India with the freedom to innovate. You will get lots of free time here.
Placements: Placements here are below average. Most of the companies visiting here are the IT companies because there is no nearby airports or railway stations. Therefore most of MNCs avoid visiting here. The highest package received here is above 25 LPA. Sometimes, it depends on your luck.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is excellent. Also, atmosphere, nature and everything here is fantastic. Here, classrooms, washrooms and everything else, are well-maintained. Also, I would give 10 out of 10 for the infrastructure here. For M.Tech and PhD people, singlet rooms are present. Also, food is not the most delicious, but it's okay.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members here are PhD holders. They are experienced and helpful too. But, one can't rely on faculty to get the course done on time. You have to put your own efforts. In each department, one or two teachers you won't like, or they won't like you. It happens. So nothing to worry much about.
Other: Here, an event of Hill-fair is organised, and that is awesome.

Satisfied with the faculty members and the infrastructure.
Placements: For the B.Tech students, the placements are good. Almost the whole batch got placed. But there are few companies and universities for the M.Tech students. There are no good placements for the M.Tech students. Most of the companies prefer the B.Tech students to M.Tech students, so there are a few placements for the M.Tech students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure on the campus is good. The classrooms are well-furnished. The labs are fully furnished and accessible. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There are 7-8 boys hostel and three girls hostel. All the hostels are good on the campus. There are double and triple seater rooms. The lift facilities are available for both department and hostels. There should be an improvement in the canteen food.
Faculty: The faculty members in NIT, Hamirpur are highly experienced. They are helpful and qualified. They are serious about the education and learnings. In M.Tech, the presentation method is there to teach all the students. For the B.Tech students, The technical or industrial visit is there.
Other: NIT Hamirpur campus is in the second position regarding the beauty. Every year, Hill fare annual festival is celebrated on the campus.

The best NIT among all the NITs
Placements: Most of the students get placed not only through campus placement but outside campus also. You can have a job by campus placements only if you have good technical and communication skills because only a few students were selected from my batch. But you can try on your own outside the campus and you will definitely get a good job because of the name of the institution.
Infrastructure: A very good environment for studies as well as for visiting various trekking destinations. The infrastructure is very good with a separate building for every branch. You will find every equipment related to your course. There are separate lecture halls, e-classrooms, big library, beautiful auditorium, mega hostels, a dispensary, a ground, a tennis court, etc. An indoor playground is under construction which will have a swimming pool as well.
Faculty: The faculty team is very cooperative and helpful. They will help you in every possible way. Of course, they are very knowledgeable and experienced except few. Most have the doctor's degree. Teaching methods are very effective as most use projectors to teach with graphics and animations, so it becomes very easy to understand.

Other: It is a superb college, no excess pressure on studies. And it provides good financial support if you want to pursue any projects. As a student you will feel very comfortable with teachers. Apart from studies you can go for many short trips during your academic session it is really enjoyable place for any weather. Once you have completed M.Tech you need to concentrate on the teaching job by your own. Mainly students from EC branch please don't expect to get placed in any university but for civil it have very good career opportunities. As many students choose M.Tech as an option of preparation for upcoming exams. All of the above you will get brand name of NIT with you.
