Above average college because location is not good.

Placements: In civil engineering, 70% of eligible students get job offers. The highest package is 28 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. I cannot reveal company names. Internship opportunities with stipends are very few. You may get research internships at IITs, which do have stipends. Graduate engineer trainee is a common role.

Infrastructure: For Wi-Fi, you will get a LAN cable, which has very high speed. Sometimes you will face difficulty accessing the internet used by students. Labs are good; you can perform every experiment mentioned in the curriculum. The mess is decent, not good. Canteens are good. Our campus has a dispensary, a cricket ground, a football ground, a volleyball court, basketball courts, table tennis tables in each hostel, and a badminton court.

Faculty: Some teachers are helpful. All teachers have knowledge, but the delivery of some is boring. The course curriculum is 70% relevant. In the lab, AutoCAD and STAAD.Pro are included, and you can use software during projects. The syllabus is the same in all NITs. The first year is typically more hectic than the rest of B.Tech. life.

Other: I chose civil engineering due to my interest in construction and my family background in civil society. It has many government job opportunities. They should change some of the outdated syllabus. Events (Technoesis, Incand) are held on a 625-acre green campus, so there is no crowding. You can get an NSP scholarship. Extracurricular activities include NCC, the karate club, and clubs for each sport that conduct sessions for inter-NIT competitions. There is also a trekking club, etc.

I am fully satisfied with my college, and these are the best times of my life yet.

Placements: In my batch, around 70% of students got placed, with the highest package at 28 LPA, an average of 7 LPA, and the lowest at 4 LPA. The top recruiters this time are Amazon and Flipkart. Many students secured internships in good companies like Accenture and Deloitte. The top roles offered are SDE and GET.

Infrastructure: The college campus is very beautiful, and the infrastructure is also amazing, with nice classrooms. High-speed internet is available throughout the college, and there is a very big, or can say Asia's biggest, digital library in my college. The mess food is good, with 24/7 medical facilities, and most sports are available on campus.

Faculty: Professors are very friendly; a few are a little rude, but most are approachable and all are very qualified. The teaching techniques are impressive, and the course curriculum is very relevant, making students industry-ready. Semester exams are of medium difficulty, and the pass percentage is 33%.

Other: I chose this course because I was interested in this field. It's a very practical course. There are two big fests in the college, one technical and the other cultural, along with many other events throughout the year. The campus is surrounded by beautiful greenery.

NITS- Though not the best but not even that bad.

Placements: The placement is fine and is reliable to some extent, ignoring the recession of last year. The maximum package reaches 80 LPA, with 3.5 LPA being the lowest and the average is 8 LPA. For a branch like CSE, placement is almost 100%. More than 80% of students get placed overall at NIT Silchar. The placement of core branches is a bit low but the maximum reaches above 20 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Oracle, C-DAC, L&T, Tata Projects and many more. Internship opportunities are also there and a lot of companies visit to provide interns, but the number of offers in the case of internships is, of course, negligible as compared to the number of job offers.

Infrastructure: Every piece of infrastructure required in a college is present and usable but being an old college, the buildings and all might look a bit old. Internet connectivity is available in hostels, library and labs. Hostel rooms are also nice but the food is just like any average hostel, i.e., not up to par. Sports and games can be played by the students as playgrounds and sports complexes are usable.

Faculty: Teachers are, of course, qualified and knowledgeable but many of them are unable to connect with the students, which leads to boring classes. Though a handful of great professors are also there,. The course curriculum is as per the need. Semester exams are stressful because there is no break in between. The difficulty level is moderate and the pass percentage is 96%.

Other: I chose to be a student at NIT Silchar because of its decent placement. Infrastructure and teachers teaching processes are some of the things that can be improved. There are two major events: Tecnoesis, which is a technical fest, and Incandescence, which is a cultural fest. These are the great events at the college. Many clubs and societies are there to be engaged with, thus making campus life better.

Good college for core engg. ,good cse placements ,Ei branch is solid here ,lush green campus

Placements: In core branch of English more students go for either higher studies or for government exams in civil and mechanical especially, and the rest got placement in companies this college is academically oriented so there is a good number of students which attract PSU directly for interviews. In ug including all branches 85% got placed those who take participation in placements. Highest about more than 50 LPA and avg 15 LPA. Almost all big tech companies, mass recruiters and some PSU.

Infrastructure: There is good infrastructure here labs has all facilities which course requires. Hostel infra is also awesome. But there is a loop that for first year boys there is very bad food facility mess is worst for first year boys. There is canteen allotted to every hostel except some like girls hostel. Canteen food is reasonably priced and good. There is very low facility for vegetarians outside campus but hostel mess try to give good vegetarian food. There is a health care center inside campus which give free treatment including medicine, they have in stock. Sports facilities are good especially for football, cricket, badminton.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and are interested to educate students. Institute is academically oriented. There is good chunk of foreign students as well. Teaching quality is good. For first year syllabus is same for all, second year onwards core education starts. Semester exams are chill except for English. Mechanics the toughest exam you cannot score above 70% in this how smart and brilliant you are. Maximum students got back in this course.

Other: Its a good institute and there is variety of students here including north south and a good number of foreign like in my 80 students class there is almost 10 foreign students. The only issue with is the connectivity with major city GUWAHATI.

Placements: Over the past few years, our branch has successfully placed nearly 80 percent of students. The highest package offered stands at 2,800,000, while the average package is 900,000 and the lowest package is 300,000. Notably, top recruiting companies such as L&T and others have played a significant role in this achievement. Additionally, almost 90 percent of students have secured internships, paving the way for promising career opportunities. The top roles offered to our graduates are managerial positions in renowned companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not extremely inadequate, but it requires enhancement. The library is commendable. The campus is expansive and adorned with lush greenery. Unfortunately, the hostel mess food was unsatisfactory, as it lacked flavor. Although the meals were nutritious, they lacked taste. All medical facilities are readily accessible. Various sports, including basketball, volleyball, and more, are actively promoted here.

Faculty: The faculty members are extremely supportive. They are all graduates from renowned institutions like IITs and foreign universities. Although the course curriculum may not be directly applicable, students can prepare for the industry by taking initiative. The semester examinations are not excessively difficult, leading to a high pass rate.

Other: I selected this course solely to obtain a degree. A major advantage is the minimal amount of pressure we will face while completing this program. The classrooms where the course is taught should have improved infrastructure. Two annual festivals, Incandensce and Technosies, are organized. The connectivity is satisfactory. The campus is enveloped in greenery. Numerous scholarships are available. NIT Silchar serves as a center for extracurricular activities.
